a Norwegian man crying on air while being interviewed, with his biathlon stats besides him

In the interview with NRK, he first started by thanking everyone who has helped him on the path to his first individual Olympic medal.

And then – unprompted – he made an admission:

– And then there's someone I wanted to share it with who might not be watching today. Six months ago I met the love of my life. The most beautiful and kindest person in the world. Three months ago I made my biggest mistake and cheated on her, and I told her about it a week ago. It's been the worst week of my life, he says tearfully in the interview.

Truly cannot overstate how thrilled I am to hear you get into your Petrarch hate! I once heard a lecture where the prof proposed Petrarch publicised a fake death date (so he'd died specifically on his 70th birthday and have a ~perfect~ lifespan) and that is the conspiracy theory I believe the most!

one of the coolest things about ChatGPT is how you can actually just never use it. you can fill your whole entire life with simply not once using it. it's incredible.

Depends on how much water it is and how involved the rest of the recipe is. Risotto for one, water gets boiled in the kettle, baked mac and cheese, big pot of water on the stove

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but your belief that a bookshelf with a rolling ladder will fix you is a valid one.

Anyone who tells you otherwise is not worthy of your friendship.

The AI push by the elite reminds me a lot of the time Elagabalus brought a meteorite to Rome and was like “we worship this now.”

If you're using AI to write essays, eulogies, a text to your wife, I do think less of you as a person. Ceding your mental and creative abilities to a machine is an embarrassing thing and people should be ashamed to admit doing it in public.

Passing the bill he wants passed gives him more power. Not passing the bill he wants takes away from his power. Pls stop insulting everyone’s intelligence.

It's Pancake Day! Time to EAT PANCAKES in HONOR OF MACHIAVELLI!

What do pancakes have to do with the founder of modern political science?

Our boy Nick was obsessed with pancakes! & wrote about them at length in his "Art of War." Why pancakes? He'd been studying the ancients of course! 1/?

i think it is important to say that the open and explicit racism of the president and the vice president isn’t just uncouth or “controversial” but a direct attack on tens of millions of americans and a dereliction of their duty to represent the entire country
