A clip from The New York Times reads: "But only the entities that officially paid the tariffs are eligible to recover that money. That means that the fuller universe of people affected by Mr. Trump’s policies — including millions of Americans who paid higher prices for the products they bought — are not able to apply for direct relief.

The extent to which consumers realize any gain hinges on whether businesses share the proceeds, something that few have publicly committed to do. Some have started to band together in class-action lawsuits in the hopes of receiving a payout."

The average American family paid $1,700 in tariffs last year, according to the bipartisan Congressional Joint Economic Committee. Few will ever see any of that money back. The refunds will go to companies, if doled out at all. What a joke.

"City prosecutor Marcus McDowell said it wasn’t a free speech case but argued 'no one has a Constitutional right to dress up as an erect penis and stand on the side of the road.'"

(For the record, the costume had, erm, somewhat deflated by the time of the arrest.)

Once upon a time, a group of Republicans, armed with our Constitution, told a President it was time for him to leave and he left. The problem in the United States today is not with its Constitution, the problem is with its spineless MAGA Republicans. 🇺🇸

Wonder who is smarter about defamation law: Patel or lawyers at The Atlantic ? 🤔. Betting on lawyers who sole job is to make sure that Patel would not win a defamation lawsuit.
Discovery is going to be difficult on Patel. 😢

I guess the only way Patel has of getting money after he loses job ( and girlfriend) will be to sue.
The problem here is that he has to prove it’s false. It is not.

Example that people who are dyslexic won’t test well but most I know excel in other things and become very successful in things I could never do. Being able to overcome obstacles is a very special talent. It’s becoming a most valuable skill these day.

Many people with long ties in Va claim to be related to Pocahontas. My grandmother did and as best as I can tell that is accurate. Im sure my DNA would have small percentage . I don’t think Warren was trying to benefit but I’m glad to know some family history. I find it interesting.

I don’t think we talk nearly enough about the fact that corporations like Amazon, don’t pay a single cent to maintain the roads they use, the transportation system they use, the courts they use, they pay nothing for the infrastructure that is absolutely critical to their business.

This is the letter we sent to The Atlantic and Sarah Fitzpatrick BEFORE they published their hit piece on FBI Director @FBIDirectorKash. They were on notice that the claims were categorically false and defamatory. They published anyway.
See you in court.

If Kash Patel wanted to scare The Atlantic into not publishing this story he should’ve hired a different lawyer. Hiring a Big Lie lawyer just sends the signal that you can’t convince a non-partisan lawyer to take your claims seriously.

Prosecutor Withdraws From Trump Team’s Investigation of Ex-C.I.A. Chief

When the Bush administration tried to monkeywrench the 4th Amendment in the name of national security, the FBI director, Bob Mueller, told Bush he'd quit in protest. Trump's Justice Department shouldn't get away with this.
