Free frequent public transport is better!! If you have to get the car out to get to the pool, you keep going & skip the pool. Also difficult to drop off & pick up kids with car pooling. More good childcare near home is energy saving as well as good for #productivity

Of many succinct killer lines, the one on Marles's "dead parrot" military rhetoric is my favourite... an excellent read.
www.theguardian.com/environment/... Sheer stupidity. It doesn't even save money. Just visits #cruelty on animals. Water managers are being lobbied. We don't "need" irrigated crops. Life comes before business. @knitnannassyd.bsky.social

Some odd words lately - Do I speak a different language? Perhaps AI is generating the puzzles. Not even an interesting or useful word to learn alas.
www.thesaturdaypaper.com.au/news/media/2... Vexatious lawyering wasting the time of the court. It seems some aspects are forensically detailed and others are air-brushed. There are many inconsistencies, incl what is or isn't admissible. Since when is self-induced bankruptcy a defence?
Hannah Ritchie's *Not the End of the World* is great on this. I've also found Rebecca Solnit *No Straight Road Takes You There* empowering. The paralysis of doom is real. Good luck with your writing. Focus on life, not the economic agenda - that helps see around the ever-present present.
