“[ProPublica’s AI] policies speak not at all about worker protections, job protections, worker input or bargaining ability.” — Bargaining Committee member Mark Olalde

Close-up of a strike sign that reads: "ProPublica workers: Not shutting up."
@propublica.org management: This is your sign to give us a fair contract now. We’re not shutting up.
ProPublica is such an important voice that I have made a donation to in the past. Especially now, every effort should be made to support every individual that makes ProPublica possible.
Thanks for your support! Our one-day strike is over and we invite supporters to return to reading ProPublica stories today. You can sign our petition to stay up-to-date on our campaign: actionnetwork.org/petitions/te...
It’s fine today. Follow @propublicaguild.org to keep up to date!
And I know how you feel. It’s hard not to read Pro Publica because of how great it is. That’s what makes its poor treatment of its workers so frustrating.
The strike was one day, but there might be job actions in the future. And the union is keeping the strike fund open.
Please support the workers who make Pro Publica’s priceless brand of journalism what it is.

Genuinely impressive to convert to a religion as an adult and then be SO BAD at expressing and keeping to the tenets of that religion as to make a full-on enemy of that religion’s leader.
one was not enough
now he has a taste for it
i am whispering “come to california” to him
you do not have to hand it to tucker carlson or marjorie taylor greene or alex jones or megyn kelly. they're all rats who see trump as a sinking ship and they're getting ready to jump in preparation for their next act. you do not have to fall for it.
“We're not asking for the moon here, despite what management keeps trying to tell us.
We need a fair and transparent disciplinary system that we can trust so that we can keep speaking truth to power, whether in the Oval Office or inside our newsroom.”
— Jeff Ernsthausen, senior data reporter
A ProPublica worker high fives a giant inflatable rat nicknamed Scabby. Resting on the belly of Scabby is a sign that says: ProPublica workers on strike for a fair contract.
Today, you helped us show @propublica.org management that, without us, there is no ProPublica. And we’re not stopping this fight until we get the contract we deserve.

Our DC members are out in full force!

Please support Pro Publica journalists in their strike for a fair contract. Please respect the digital picket line and don’t engage with Pro Publica on social media. Let’s show our support for the workers who make Pro Publica the powerful force it is to all of us.
Propublica is one of the best news organizations in the world, I'm a proud supporter of their... and that means supporting their workers in this strike.
Don't visit propublica -dot- org today.
Our unit members are ON STRIKE and not participating in this event. DON’T CROSS THE PICKET LINE!
We're on strike! Don't visit propublica.org on April 8
We’re on strike today! Support our fight for a fair contract by NOT visiting the @propublica.org website or engaging with ProPublica stories today.

How much insider trading was there on this latest bullshit?
Whatever happens, this is a deeply shameful episode in American history that will leave a permanent stain on the country.
Repeatedly vowing to commit war crimes against millions of innocent civilians is beyond the pale.
How bleak is it that the *best case scenario* is that he is just engaging in his most ambitious bit of market manipulation yet and will call it off ("we have reached a great deal, a tremendous deal, to save Iran") at 4:30 pm after shorting everything and watching the market tank
I feel sick to my stomach waiting around to see what atrocity Trump has in mind for the people of Iran this evening. It's hard to fathom our other elected leaders aren't able to check him in any meaningful way. It's an indictment not just of voters but of our whole system. We're ruled by a mad king.
The four Artemis II astronauts wearing red and yellow eclipse glasses, smiling from inside the Orion craft
Okay it's all bad but here are the Artemis II astronauts wearing the same kind of eclipse glasses we all wore only they're on board a space ship 200,000 miles away looking at a solar eclipse during their lunar flyby
"Is your country ruled by an aging megalomaniac whose supporters worship him with an almost cult-like zeal?"
Disheveled bear exits cave after hibernation
Gus exited his cave this morning and we accidentally started a new religion.
This is incredible.
I feel like forcing military officers to choose between defying orders given by civilian leadership or committing war crimes will be a defining moment in whatever ultimately happens to our democracy.
