Do we do it because it’s effective? Or because it feels good?
Finger pointing and blaming reduces our own anxiety in the short-term. It discharges all those feelings of helplessness and frustration.
Research shows us, however, this approach is ineffective and damaging.
I love to tell people what to do.
What about you? If you are working in the regenerative, organic, climate, ESG, sustainability, environment, social change, conservation space.... chances are, you do too.
No shame here. It's a natural and normal part of trying to make our world better. But…
I hope this offering is of some help and benefit for those who come across it.

It is safe to feel challenged.
It is safe to be uncertain. To feel like 😵💫
“You have to slow down to speed up” gets thrown around a lot, but facing the issues of today seems to always demand fast, urgent responses.

Anxiety isn’t apathy.
Ambivalence isn’t indifference.
And unmet aspirations aren’t failure.
These are signals. Leaders who know how to listen to them clear a path for success.
Innovation is about change.
The way we embrace it has to be with each other.
