I AM unfortunately predicting some upcoming right-wing leanings rallying against recent workers' rights and protections gains we've made as our state becomes more """hostile to businesses.""" If "good for humans" = "hostile to business," and you still pick the latter, fix your hearts or die.
Like...the worker shouldn't be the person who suffers because the demand isn't there for what you want to do. If you can't pay your workers/give them enough leave, the risk of running a business is greater than what you can take on. And maybe you can work to make the world more equitable so you can.
"Small business owner" isn't some heroic title to be protected at all costs. Someone's dream of owning the tenth spot within one square mile with a $17 hamburger (no cheese, no sides) isn't something worth protecting over fair and humane labor practices. Pay your fucking workers or perish. ✌️
that…sucks lmfao. What an empty, negative way to refer to such fun things to do with your friends.
I saw something like “friendslop” recently and was like. what does that even mean.
It’s such a demeaning term, which is GREAT and perfect for genAI but really heavy gravity for other things.
They sell ANDOR action figures, of course, and of course the audience is 35-50-year-olds, but it's deeply funny to imagine children playing with little Luthen Rael and Saw Gerrera dolls.
CHILD 1: I think violence is not only justified, but demanded
CHILD 2: I agree, but haste could be our undoing
Paying for plugs with gold bars.
Boycott Target because their AI might randomly and falsely accuse you of theft and then have you arrested and upend your life.
Thought too hard about cointelpro and what it took from all of us in the name of capital and white supremacy, had to take a break and read trashy gay fiction to off-gas
@remedygames.com If someone wanted the highest possible resolution of the Bright Falls deer mural in the Oh Deer Diner...say, of resolution to fit on a printed 3'x6' poster...how could one get such a quality graphic? 👀

It is always the case that any radical action by workers to resist the power of capital is "violence" but the constant suffering of poverty, absence of healthcare, hunger, surveillance, wage theft and the rest of it, well... that doesn't really count as "violence."
Everyone’s alarms went off at 8:30 and I am. The only one they woke up lmfao

The book Troubled Lands: Stories of Mexico & Cuba, As Translated by Langston Hughes, Edited and introduced by Ricardo A. Wilson II. Jacket image: Gustave Baumann, Morning in Mexico, 1936, color wood cut.
This book is fun, because about half the stories are “this abusive middle-manager foregoes worker solidarity and dies badly.”
(Another third are “the line between bandit and revolutionary is lenticular”)
