A book coach and an author coach are not that different.
Book coaches are often editors and work with both writers and authors directly on their stories. This can also broaden into supporting author struggles and helping instill confidence in themselves and their stories. 2/

I still find several large-scale companies that don't account for this, and use images that aren't tailored with transparent backgrounds. The result is messy, patchwork email campaigns instead of clean, concise design.

Life got in the way, but everything still exists, ready to be unlocked, dusted off, revisited, and eventually turned into more beautiful stories.
There are at least a dozen more left to tell. So if life could just kindly go bother someone else... 6
I think this is my favorite part of the writing process - digging back into old scenes, language dictionaries, character sheets, and stories in the universe I can use like research.
BLOODFLOWER was published 5 years ago, but before that I wrote millions of words around this universe. 5/
Is now getting fully deconstructed into the sequel it should have always been.
I considered writing from scratch, but there are elements of that sad little story that are relevant. Details I wrote out long ago that became canon, but haven't yet shaken hands with readers. 4/
Fast forward a decade, in where I figure stuff out, publish five books, figure more stuff out, and finally dip back into that universe again.
Now I'm writing book 2 of that series and guess what?
That sad little book that didn't quite stand on its own... 3/
I did not.
She kindly sent it back with notes, telling me nothing made sense, that it felt like a whole book existed before it, but none of that information made it into the story.
She wasn't wrong... 2/
A million and a half years ago, before I figured out storytelling vs writing, I wrote a sequel and tried to make it the first book in the series.
I sent it off to a critique partner, crossing my fingers that I'd finally found that magical spell that pulled it all together... 1/
