He's so dramatic! Right now he's crying and tearing up a cardboard box because he hasn't had food in two hours and his life is over.

I will be working on making sure he eats more every day and hopefully the additional calories will help bring his weight back up, since he's a very skinny boy rn. He's already back to being extremely annoying when he wants food, so hopefully he'll continue to like this kind.

So, good news, all of Gus's bloodwork came back consistent with what it was in November, so he was just being an extra baby who didn't want his food anymore. 🙄

Love that it was 90°F here last Thursday and my weather app just notified me of a freeze warning overnight in the next couple of days (it's currently 42°F).

It seems to me like a lot of people haven't followed the details of why folks have issues with Substack, and basically assume that leaving the platform for moral or social reasons just automatically means giving up money.

But I don't think that's supported by the actual math.

He has eaten again, yay! I think he's decided he doesn't really want his old food anymore, but he ate the new stuff I got earlier this week, so that still feels like a success. Pepper is about to be a very happy baby, because she's going to get a bunch of wet food. 😂

Gus was not interested in food when I offered it to him half an hour ago, but we'll try again in a bit. He has already eaten more real food today than he did yesterday, so I'm not surprised, but I'll try the appetite stimulant if he doesn't want anything in like an hour.

Wow, I just got an email from PECO saying they decided to withdraw their "previously filed electric and natural gas regulatory rate review requests with the PUC." So, gas and electric rates won't go up right now because they, get this, listened to feedback and changed their minds?? What a concept.

We shall see how he does with his second meal, but he's also been drinking more water, so hopefully that's helping. I have a suspicion this might be his kidneys, but we'll find out on Monday. Hopefully if I'm right it's still at the stage where he can do well on prescription food for a while yet.

Gus seems to be feeling a little better today! I fed him for the first time around noon and he ate like 90% of his can of food *and* a Churu. Maybe just because he hadn't eaten for like 8 hours, but he's definitely more alert today than yesterday.

Oh I'm so glad to hear she's doing better! I saw she was having issues but I've missed a bunch the last few days and didn't see updates on how she was doing.
