I'm really glad folks picked up on Angine de Poitrine because that's some rad shit. The instrumental avante garde style reminds me of Drums and Tuba from back in the day.

It kind of reminds me of Drums & Tuba. This band I used to listen to ages ago.

"upselling" in my mind is selling new products to existing customers with their consent (generally easier because of the existing relationship). What is being described here is just fraud.

This is my favorite climate change chart. Japanese monks, aristocrats, and emperors kept meticulous records of cherry blossom festivals for 1,200 years and accidentally built the world's longest climate dataset.
Ironic how Anthropic sells Claude Code security reviews positioned as something v powerful (costing $15-25 per PR review), and being clear they use it on all PRs... then leaking all of Claude Code's code thanks to publishing their sourcemap.
AI won't save you from yourself!
Hey, You're one of the folks that showed me there can be life after Google and inspired me to leave. I really look up to you and all you did with Winterbloom. I hope you can take the time you need. ๐

Ok.
Since I posted this yesterday it's now down 4.4% over the last 6mo.
They're all down pretty hard since early March. You're right that, at least for the Nikkei, it hasn't wiped out all the gains for the last 6mo though.
It's all downhill from here.
It's an amazing product
nice to see Agones part of CNCF finally - a whole lot of gaming companies have been using it to scale gaming infrastructure www.cncf.io/blog/2026/03... #kubecon #cloudnativecon

I think it really does depend on the situation, but they seem to say "there's so much code now, let's just give up". The proposed alternative also seems like it would be entirely unworkable in practice.

This does kind of state the subtext of so much of this genAI stuff explicitly, which is like โwhat if we made a hard thing easy and in so doing totally missed the point of what made the hard thing valuable in the first placeโ
If you're going to generate something like this, at least take a couple of minutes to clean it up. You could do it in like 10 minutes with MS Paint.
Take this image. It's supposed to show layers of Swiss cheese blocking some things but not others but it makes no sense if you look at it. Arrows coming out of the cheese, random lines, not one arrow actually goes through a hole. It's just a mess.
Looking at AI generated content strikes me as just like reading those texts where the letters of each word are jumbled up. Humans can do it because their brains auto-correct but it's just dumb to make content that way.
The air routes between Europe and Asia are starting to look very fragile.
