She lets out a laugh herself. Suddenly she just felt giddy and happy. Was this what it felt like to just have all of your emotional worries go away all at once?

"I'll have to teach you so many things, like fishing, making campfires, cooking...gosh it's gonna be so

That'd be nice. The human world was a scary place, but Rin would protect her from the scarier elements of it. Her presence was magical.

"I'll hold your hand for just as long then," she says proudly, "because I love you and I'm not letting anyone hurt you!"

She couldn't bear a day without the pinkette in her life, not anymore.

"I'll be yours, forever and ever, even long after we're gone."

Enjoying every bit of her presence...wanting the moment to last forever.

"I...guess you know the reason I wanted to know if you wanted to sleep in my hammock with me...I wanted you close."

To protect her, she'd tell herself. Too scared to let her out of her sight in case she lost her somehow.

She said yes? She said yes! Ayita's heart started to slow, the realization that Rin chose her washing over her like a wave. Her face was still beet red, but she was able to relax, knowing that the hardest part was over.

It really was hard to vocalize it. They couldn't really beat around the bush; they'd been around each other for weeks, learning more and more about each other as time went on.

She says, cutting herself off. Why was it so hard to just say yes? She wordlessly nods.

"Y-you do?"

She's also maintaining eye contact. She knew humans made lifetime pacts when it came to mates. Was...was Rin choosing her?

"It...doesn't have to come, does it? I do want a mate...but I don't want to take you from anyone that might want you as theirs."

She also knows that a woman like Rin deserved the very best. Someone who could always make her smile and feel loved.

"I don't want to think of the day that we can't share our bed with each other."

That realization stung. Like a knife to her heart. If she found a mate, then she wouldn't get to enjoy time in the hammock with Rin. She wouldn't be able to enjoy snuggling up to her, or learning about the human world for her.

Ayita's hand meets Rin's halfway.

Those blue eyes are mesmerizing to Ayita. She can't look away, can't even process the sounds and smells around her thanks to Rin.

"...I've never been able to find someone that would stick around. Usually they're scared away because I like living in nature and not the city."

"...um...you would make a really good one. You're friendly, and smart...you're so kind to the Pokemon around here..."

Maybe beating around the bush a little bit, but her cheeks are quite red right now.

That was usually a pretty big deal, wasn't it? Not that Ayita wanted to let Rin out of her sight, she might be a bit greedy about sharing her friend with the world.

She leans in to take a peek at the picture. It looks great! Rin's smile is always so beautiful!

"We can save it right?"

But once Rin shows her the results, she's astounded.

"That's us. Did it save a picture of us?"

Right around her waist in fact. It felt natural. She couldn't imagine any creature out there not thinking Rin was incredible.

"Uh huh. But you've also been doing a great job too. And you know so much, it's really crazy."

She jumps just a little when she hears the click of the camera.

That seemed to her like an invitation to wrap an arm around Rin. It felt nice to have Rin so close to her...she'd been sleeping way more soundly at night with her in the hammock with her.

"R-right! I have arms so I can catch you quicker! And I'd be able to help calm you down too if you did fall"

Without missing a beat, Ayita says.

"I would catch you first."

It came out of nowhere, and Ayita's cheeks flush; even she didn't think about the words that had come out before they did!

"What?"

It was talking? That's so weird! It wasn't human, and it did look kind of like a Pokemon, but...Pokemon don't talk like humans, do they?

"That's so awesome! Can it do that to everything? That'd be really helpful!"

"I'm guessing it's not something you eat though."

"That's really amazing! That little box can do all of that?"

Ayita's looking at it with wonder. She was sure it was probably too complicated a tool for her to use, but being able to store stuff (whatever this 'data' was) seemed impressive!

"I've got no idea what a Pokedex is," she says

There was likely no signal where Ayita lived. She leans in and gives the phone a few taps.

"It looks like something you'd throw at someone to get their attention."

Ayita lets out a light 'eep'. She was used to being around Rin, but she was well aware that Rin only did these things because she was well and truly comfortable around Ayita.

"I saw you trying to do something with that when we first got home. You held it up to your ear, didn't you?"

"I'm not really that amazing. The Pokemon that live around here have so many things that I wish I could do."

Another little pause.

"I'm...well, yeah of course I am. I'm human, so I should know about human things too, right?"

"I was just thinking..."

She looks to her friend, smiling brightly at her.

"You have a lot of amazing things, don't you?"
