A new episode of Euphoria dropped, so reddit is once again filled with Sydney Sweeny getting naked and looking incredibly miserable.
...nope, I still don't get how that last bit makes her look attractive.
Kong just held a rat creature over his head, then pulled it in half so that the guts showered all over his head, shoulders, and top half of his torso.
Toei could have done that...

Witch Hat Atelier (2026- ) continues to be filled with charm, whimsy, and flair. A delightful fantasy anime, which I hope stays comparatively light yet powerful.
Oh lord, I'm going full weeb!
Trump got nothing he wanted from the US surrender talks with Iran, so it's going to be another week of bullshit and death as he tries to explain how he's in total control of the war he's already lost.
Noel Coward did a romantic horror comedy and no one told me about it!? Fantastic dialogue, a pithy script complimented by snappy acting, and some surprisingly risqué moments. Blithe Spirit (1945) is worth your time for an unexpected retro treat.
This opens with a Ghost Train skeleton flying right at your face, then claims to be based on a true story, then has a Mid-Atlantic cockney accent explain both the stakes and how foggy it is in London. The Unholy Night (1929) is an absolute banger of a film,
The Final Girl: beloved feminist horror trope or conditioning women to do the unpaid emotional labour of dealing with an emotionally disregulating man-child? In my TED Talk...
She must feel so awesome right now, but also incredibly busy.
Isn't their current advertising campaign saying the exact opposite?? You know, the one where someone turns up to a contract meeting with no clue about their costs, asks Co-Pilot for some info, and then (in front of witnesses in a recorded meeting) agrees a contract based on that result?
I'm shocked that Pornhub haven't teamed up with a furniture manufacturer to promote passion-proof furnishings.

I decided to watch something dramatic, well crafted, and sensible. Then the ghost of the murder victim turned up and that was the cherry on the cake.
Rashomon (1950) is an absolute trip. Can highly recommend.
Jokes on him: I can procrastinate over a blog post without using GenAI.
And now for the Magnificent Seven recruitment and honour amongst gladiators section of the movie. Something for all the family
10 minutes in to Endgame (1983) and its the kind of Mad Max/cyberpunk/death sports mashup that makes Italian psychotronic so appealing. Nothing makes sense and everything looks stylish.
Again, several people have become gophers for none sexual reasons.
I really enjoyed #WarMachine (2026). It's exciting, surprisingly emotional and beautifully shot, sci-fi action fun. Things explode! Shots are fired!! Gungs are hoed!!
Genuinely enjoyable nonsense.
Shame the plot hinges on all US Rangers being blind as bats.
I liked it, as it had a period vibe and the pacing was part of that, like it was a regional TV drama. Admittedly. that makes it more of a curio of the nerdy/fart-sniffing than actually "good", but I've got enough out of it each watch that I feel obliged to offer my 2p

Watching the new Evangelion short for the 30th anniversary. Its untranslated, deeply involves the series lore, and is so damn well acted and animated that I can just about understand what's going on and am getting actual feels from it.
Absolute respect to the strength of storytelling on display.
I've always assumed Linux had it's own Rule 35.
I, repeatedly, had this same conversation with Linux people when Windows 95 came out.
How is Teams considered the hight of professional communication systems when it only let's you use one emoji at a time?
People who believe in an imminent Rapture/Armageddon don't have anything invested in what happens to you here on Earth. You are irrelevant to them and will be treated accordingly.
It's hard to win elections, which is why people like Farage focus on rigging the vote
FireFly was an okay show, with a great cast and a lot of potential, that has been elevated to perfection because it never got a second series.
Nothing will ever satisfy the remaining fans, because most aren't fans of what it actually was.
Well, Iran is going to die so that Trump can steal democracy, and I'm just here watching movies.
Delicious, thank you 😊
