I know it is insignificant in the grand scheme of things, but my cat was recently diagnosed with cancer* and one of my biggest personal fears is losing access to whatever she can tolerate eating on any given week.
* small cell lymphoma, which is very treatable but has still been really hard

A square burgundry graphic with "SAVE THE DATE" at the top in like a serial killer scrapbook collage font. below it is a sassy green rat with a crown and a smirk and his hands on his hips. The text says: The Poster's Madness Rat King Special 2026 A Fundraiser For Mutual Aid Supporting Communities Under Attack Tuesday, February 24th 8:30 - 11 pm EST (5:30 - 8 pm PST)
ATTENTION BLUESKY
you don't want to watch the State of the Union next week
you want to watch a PowerPoint party telethon of your favorite Bluesky super posters delivering their most unhinged hot takes to raise money for mutual aid in Twin Cities and Portland
Poster's Madness for a good cause!!!!
Wow they added a new warlock class in Diablo 2 to distract us from the epstein files www.theverge.com/games/877577...
I think this is the correct answer. For 24h my fyp acted like it had been reset, then the first vids I saw last night were a native american making a fuck ice joke, how to build a corsi rosenthal box, and how to make napalm (for burning underbrush).
If you like these stores, you will LOVE the new line by Tyka Pryde, who is the actual brains behind many celebrity decorators you see on TV. Great inspo on her TikTok, too! tykapryde.com
"The business model of most consumer technology is to identify some thick desire, find the part of it that produces a neurological reward, and then deliver that reward without the rest of the package."
Gonna be thinking about this one for a while.
Screenshot of AI generated text from Gemini: Authors like Max Barry explained: Combining Max Barry (satirical, fast-paced, corporate absurdity) with Andy Weir (science-heavy, problem-solving, snarky first-person voice) creates a very specific target. You are looking for "Competence Porn" with a sense of humor. You want books where smart people solve big problems, but the tone is light, sarcastic, and conversational rather than heavy or grim. Here are the best authors who hit that specific "wry and clever" intersection. 1. John Scalzi Why: He is the absolute best match for the "Barry + Weir" combination. Scalzi writes accessible sci-fi with snappy, Sorkin-esque dialogue. Like Weir, his characters are often hyper-competent and snarky. Like Barry, he often satirizes corporate or military bureaucracy. The Vibe: "I’m in a terrible situation, but I’m going to sarcasm my way out of it." Start with: The Kaiju Preservation Society. It’s about a delivery driver who gets hired by a secret organization to lift heavy objects on an alternate Earth where Godzilla-like creatures exist. It is pure, witty fun.
Ok but why did this answer make me tear up a little
Oh wow. On one hand, I can see how someone would want to polarize the fans of the most influential media figure in the world: towards maga/trad, or away from Swift herself + make libs sound like conspiracy theorists. OTOH, it dismisses the very valid criticisms from black women.
I hate the Internet

Like an ice cold hug that provides just the right amount of pressure to keep your soul in your body. I also agree with the message it sends.

True or not, make "big beautiful Bill" such an overused joke that it can never be taken seriously again.
This exact same dynamic—dehumanizing fake content made entirely bc Facebook pays people to make it—played out in Myanmar in the run-up to a genocide. @karenhao.bsky.social laid it out in the starkest terms:

I wrote a little bit about how and why AI is good at bureaucracy, which is interesting to bureaucracy freaks like me. aboard.com/ai-is-a-powe...

If you have the luxury of not cashing in your kids' old devices when upgrading, consider powering them down, labeling it with info about what's on it, and storing it in a cool dry place for a decade or two. I promise it'll be more valuable to them than the current trade-in value when they're grown.
Someone on Twitter writes: "You think he gives a shit? His company (and net worth) went up in magnitudes of billions during his presentation yesterday. That's the last thing he cares about. :laughing emoji:
Any time I talk about a wealthy person's outfit, someone in the comments is quick to reply: "They're rich, you think they care?" No one has to care about my opinions or clothes, regardless of net worth.
But let's talk about the connection between wealth and aesthetics 🧵
I have also observed this in my practice 😤
Mane n’ Tail to alt right pipeline
It’s Global Running Day and I could get a badge on my Apple Watch for running a 5k, but I’m at the point in my couch to 5k program where my cardio fitness now outpaces my muscle strength and form (so: baby’s at risk of shin splints) 😭
I bought another new pair of running shoes tho so it’s ok 😅

My mom was recently diagnosed with Parkinson’s, and I have basically spent 4 of the last 6 months in Arkansas taking care of her and getting her meds figured out. 90% of my wardrobe is from Walmart now. Please send avocado toast and boba. Tell my husband and cat and plants that I miss them.
Update: this continues to be my most favorite gadget. I tried another kind that I could control with my phone and it just didn’t feel the same. Something about program 18 is magical.
