Still haven't seen any explanation for Elisa Longo Borghini's unfortunate power loss at LBL, followed by her absence from UAE's Vuelta startlist. Hope she's OK.

A tough uphill sprint found Linda Zanetti out front much earlier thank she would have liked; Marta Lach caught her with 100m to go but Zanetti clung on to 2nd by half a wheel over a fast-finishing Lara Gillespie. Strong sprinting from the ladies. #nokerekoerse #cycling

Flamme rouge and big sprint ahoy #nokerekoerse

Last cobble stretch and there's 40-50 riders still in it. 3.5kms to go #nokerekoerse

And Zoe Backstedt drags the peloton back to Henderson more or less single-handed #nokerekoerse. Attacks are going to fly from here

Trek's Anna Henderson takes off on the penultimate cobble stretch, grabs a 12 second gap. #nokerekoerse

Eva van Agt of Visma one of three down in a cobbled bingle. She's slow to disentangle herself from her bike, a tough catch-up now. #nokerekoerse

Onto the cobbles on a perfect Spring day and the peloton stretches out #nokerekoerse

Oh dear, Lara Gillespie of UAE tumbles into a ditch at a corner, but she's not hurt and quickly back on her bike #nokerekoerse

Inside the last 20kms at #NokereKoerse and the women's peloton pretty much together with three cobbled sections and several bumps to come.

Sounds right. I remember when Shirin escaped a couple of years ago and ELB once ran amok, but it's mostly a reduced bunch sprint. Balsamo three wins out of the last four tells you something...

The peloton seems to have forgotten her

Looks like live pictures are imminent at #TrofeoAlfredoBinda

I'm getting a loop of random sports clips on Max.

40kms done at #TrofeoAlfredoBinda and peloton cruising along uneventfully. Fireworks not expectable for a while but should get attritional once six laps of the finishing circuit kick in.

The big guns are out for the #TrofeoAlfredoBinda today (all except Lotte Kopecky, that is, strangely yet to race this season). But many eyes will be on an 18-year-old Brit burdened with the title of Next Big Thing in Women's Cycling. It will be fascinating to watch #CatFerguson in elite ranks.

Well that was a lot of fun. Shame Elisa Longo Borgini wasn't fit, but Demi looked unbeatable today, with excellent support from her new FDJ team-mates. Now for the men!

Well, the chasers are out of it with 7kms to go. It's down to Demi vs Anna, team-mates last year, rivals today. Hold on to your tights! #StradeBianche

Demi Vollering joins Anna van der Breggen at the front: can newly-unretired former SB winner Anna beat her younger former SB winner rival Demi? #StradeBiancheDonne

It's really heating up at #StradeBiancheDonne with 16kms to go. Juliet Labous has dragged the chasers up to the front group and Demi Vollering is poised to jump. Elisa Longo Borgini dropped way back, apparently ill.

Femke Gerritse, winner at Hageland, breaks up the front group, gets a decent gap. Six chasers after her, 45 kms to go #StradeBiancheDonne

Not a good start to the season for Kasia Niewiadoma. Fairly harmless bend but half a dozen of them misjudged it and Kasia hit the barrier hardest #StradeBiancheDonne

Visma has sent Eva van Agt up the road, but not much of a gap as a couple of chasers follow #StradeBiancheDonne

After the peloton fiasco that was Omloop, everyone's playing it tight at #StradeBiancheDonne. Almost 80kms done and sporadic attacks aren't making much impact. 58kms to go

What a mess at #EDB2025. The one thing you can't allow, when a peloton of 150+ cyclists is ploughing down the road at 45kph, is a car heading straight at them. Two days in a row a car got on the course and several teams have pulled out their riders, in fear of their lives.

Lorene Wiebes is as smart as she's fast. She jumped at the start into a small break that held on to a gap through desert crosswinds and that's all she wrote for stage 2 of #UAETourWomen. Two wins out of two: tomorrow the mountain and a near-certain GC win for Elisa Longo Borghini.

Lorena Wiebes picks up where she left off last year - winning stage 1 of the #UAETourWomen. A great team leadout placed her perfectly for the run-in and Charlotte Kool was left trailing in second. Will anyone beat Lorena in a sprint this season?
