Interestingly enough, the one question where people are skeptical of AI progress is the one about whether we'll reach AGI in the next 10 years, where the data is more ambiguous.
Could be that AGI is something only AI labs are actually interested in, while "regular" users just want better tools…
Looking at the data I've collected so far for the State of AI survey (ongoing), people are definitely using AI more and more! Every single datapoint is more or less pointing in that same direction.
