It’s not just white people being influenced by black culture as though it’s a neutral position like how we’re influenced by Italian culture and now spaghetti is a mainstream food. It can’t be a neutral thing because of the nature of US history still ongoing.

Been thinking about this thread, and yeah, minstrely *is* the entire basis of Anglo pop culture once you start looking at it, from Mickey Mouse to Eminem. Not sure what to with that knowledge, because it leaves you with nothing that isn’t tainted by it.
