A circular, wooden butter mold measuring about 9 cm in diameter, featuring a stylized image of a cow (with a very large, rectangular body, short straight legs, and a small head with horns) standing with a sheaf of wheat carved into it. This butter mold probably dates to the late 1800s. Used to imprint butter with an image when pressing it into a cake for storage. Donated by J. W. Hartin of Omemee.

Butter molds like this were used to press freshly-made butter into cakes for storage, and sometimes featured carved designs that would be imprinted into the butter during the pressing process.
