Not sure if it's flavour, or they're just plain mean to us.

Packet of Dutch vegetarian sausages called "Little Willies - British Sausages"
Not as much as the Dutch have.
I've still got that series on my bookshelf, including the Twins one that came after.
There's something dodgy happening today.
Been followed by a good number of accounts whose first few posts are promoting "book sites" with different names but the same ad copy.
Smells fishy as hell to me.
Go read this wonderful review, please!
Hope you have a lovely time!
I hate Al and I refuse to use it Peter, if you don't use Al a bunch of super rich men will lose a lot of money I already said I hated Al Harry, you don't need to sell it to me

Do you know of any brick and mortar bookstores that you would like to be shared on the Tagonist Knights Publishing Website? It will join others featured on the main page with links to novels produced by this company. We are excited to help local book stores. Anywhere in the world is welcome!
Signed book, with the personalised quote reading: "May this book bring you escapism and joy, and may you find your own Magic Circle."
3 books on top of each other over a red tablecloth. The top most book is The Child of Fire and Earth, a fun fantasy book where a young boy accidentally becomes a magician and fights to stop the world freezing. The ones underneath are The Magic Circle, a YA/NA futurehex book where decades in the future, magic returns. All books have an "Author signed" sticker on them.
I keep on forgetting to mention, but my books are available as paperbacks direct from me at www.barryryerson.com/shop
You get it signed and personalised by me, a signed bookmark, and worldwide postage is available.
Just in case you need a unique present for someone.

Just imagining enshittification of books.
"People love book 1 in this series. So, book 2 will be basically the same, but with 50% fewer pages and 200% more expensive.
Books 3-27 will be by subscription model; if they don't keep up payments, we'll steal their books.
The last book won't be made."
Volcanoes kinda terrify me.
I mean, the Earth gets so hot it literally melts rocks, then builds up so much pressure it has to spray it everywhere.
There's so much energy in that system, and it's just a safety valve. How much energy is there lower down that we don't see?
Damn, that's quite a view.
I tried it, and absolutely hated it as a platform.
Short videos with little to no context. Hell of a lot of far-right videos and scammers on there, too.
Oh, and they hide the block button under "share" which makes no sense at all.
It's like Xitter and YouTube shorts had a lovechild.
Fancy a futurehex story with laser drones, magical powers, and shapeshifters?
Then check this out!

I see bsky app is struggling. Can't load people's profiles, sometimes no posts come up at all. Like it's too worn out from all this shit.
Honestly, same, bsky. Same.
Packet of Fried Egg Flavour crisps
My youngest got a box of snacks from around the world as a birthday present yesterday.
We tried Fried Egg Flavour crisps, and they were utterly revolting. Started off like ready salted, then ended quickly on grease and egg.
I'm going to have to delete my @draft2digital.bsky.social account. I don't make $100 a year through them and am not likely to, not unless I find some magical marketing budget I didn't know I had.
This in no way tackles AI slop.
If anything, it encourages it. Because if anyone can make $100 a month, it'll be soulless cretins who can churn out a new slop book a day.
If they wanted to tackle slop, they'd bottleneck the number of books you could make over a set period.
...where the guard said, "You don't think billionaires do bad stuff? They do it all the time. All. The. Time. They just never face consequences."
He then forced the billionaire to spend the rest of the vacation with ordinary people, telling them the man was deluded and pretended to be rich. 3/3
...and politely made him go to security to get written up.
The billionaire tried everything not to do that (bluffs, threats, bribery) but the guard wasn't fazed by any if it.
Just politely got him to go to security to get a ticket.
There was a line the guard used that stuck with me after...2/3
Had a dream that I was watching a film where several billionaires were on a luxury cruise ship.
One old billionaire (played by Michael Caines) refused to show his boarding pass to security, spouting the whole, "Don't you know who I am?"
Later on, the security guy found him in a swimming pool...1/3
Their argument for prices seems daft.
"We want to stop AI slop."
Well, great, but charging people doesn't do that. Limiting how many books you can push in a short time frame would have more effect.
It's like when Xitter decided to stop checking IDs and just gave blue ticks to those who paid.
Played 9 hole golf (badly) with my family for youngest's 15th birthday, and my ball had "sausage" written on it, which caused a lot of fun comments.
"Hit your sausage!"
"Oh, looks like you're playing hide the sausage again."
You get the idea...
I've already sent an email of complaint to their contact form and I'd urge you, if you have a D2D account, that you should do the same.
I'd rather see them walk this back, so they need to know this is thoroughly unwelcome.
Damn. I'm so sorry to hear about what's happened to you both. Sending you all best wishes.
