Almost everything we argue about is a substitute for the thing we should be arguing about: the immense wealth & power of an oligarchic class, which captures governments, ruins lives and wrecks the living planet.
This class redirects our rage at scapegoats. To resist its lies is to resist its power.

Tesla reported owing $0 in US federal taxes for all but one of the past 20 years. A Reuters analysis reveals how a common corporate tactic known as profit shifting likely saved the company more than $400 million in US taxes.

I know I really don’t need to say this but very few of us would be afforded the chance to just “put things right”!!! #2TierSociety

Opening text of a thread by Palantir from X Because we get asked a lot. The Technological Republic, in brief. 1. Silicon Valley owes a moral debt to the country that made its rise possible. The engineering elite of Silicon Valley has an affirmative obligation to participate in the defense of the nation. 2. We must rebel against the tyranny of the apps. Is the iPhone our greatest creative if not crowning achievement as a civilization? The object has changed our lives, but it may also now be limiting and constraining our sense of the possible. 3. Free email is not enough. The decadence of a culture or civilization, and indeed its ruling class, will be forgiven only if that culture is capable of delivering economic growth and security for the public. 4. The limits of soft power, of soaring rhetoric alone, have been exposed. The ability of free and democratic societies to prevail requires something more than moral appeal. It requires hard power, and hard power in this century will be built on software.
Palantir put out a 22-point summary of their CEO's book The Technological Republic. It's pitched as a defence of the West, but if you read it through the VDA framework, verification, deliberation, accountability, what it's actually doing looks rather different.

Breaking: The President
I think every country should ban him, permanently. And his family and cabinet; every MAGA, GOP, etc
Fucking dick. Him, not you!
The fact that Mamdani just seems like a cheerful normal guy who's policies are things like "we're going to tax second homes to fund pothole repairs" or whatever and yet this generates panicked responses like "This is basically Stalin's great purge turned up to eleven" is... telling. It tells things.
But that’s WHY he was chosen: specifically for the traits, the background, etc to DEAL with Fucktrumpet

Is this part of the true meaning behind / the allegory for the film, Sinners?
Every single CEO I’ve met (and I’ve worked for some of the most famous on the planet) fall into 2 camps: 99% do jack shit and get everyone to do EVERYTHING for them; 1% visionary psychopaths who never stop working…
You’ve all gone mad! Well, not YOU but definitely GOP and MAGA
Exactly how much money are the Christo Facists giving him?
Yay! 🙌
