“Vibe coded” my way to the finish line. 🙌
After 8 hours ideating and tweaking design concepts while collaborating with AI tools, I’ve landed on this as the next update for my app, Tunable. It’s been about 10 years since the last update. 🫣
New website is live at www.tunableapp.com

Spent some time “vibe coding” an update to my 10-year-old website for my app, Tunable 🎶.
~6 hours in, and here’s where it’s at so far. Still a work in progress, but fun to breathe new life into it,
This seems fairly common. You could nudge them to update if their device supports it,
How are you doing the blur/fade in of the text? Splitting into individual character animations or something else?
My #Figma plugin, Ghostbuster, is working!
It finds layers that have variables that are assigned to them that no longer exist (were deleted) and allows assigning them to a different (existing) variable.
Tried 20+ #figma plugins. None worked.
Building our own. 🎉
This finds ghost/orphaned/unlinked colors (deleted variables) and allows for re-assigning them to a new variable from any library.
Very interesting. Thanks for sharing!
How’s it get attached to the fact under window? Does it move with it?
AI in coding acts as a multiplier, not an addition. If you start with a weak prompt or limited knowledge (0), the output remains (0).
But the more you know, the better AI amplifies your intent, delivering more accurate and useful results.
Ah yah that’s a different issue and actually a reason to not include dark mode in a first version. Why complicate feedback on a visual bug vs product performance?
Now, if you support dark mode and the UI is broken in light or dark for some reason, that’s a bug.
If your TestFlight users are other engineers and your app isn’t built for them, you’re focusing on the wrong type of TF users.
You want real users using it; not random people that wouldn’t use it if they weren’t also engineers.
Hot take: if you’re waiting to support dark mode before shipping a new product, you’re shipping too late.
There is TestFlight on Mac now.
It is all a bit confusing and not documented as well as it could be.
I see. Yah I’m trying to sign it so it can run on other co-workers Macs. However the notary tool and tutorial for it seem to only be for Mac apps. So it’s unclear what the right method is here.
No catalyst target. Only “designed for iPad”.
It’s required to sign it but I’m trying to figure out whether it’s supposed to be notarized with a Mac certificate (which it doesn’t seem like an option) vs an iOS one. The intention is to run it on Macs.
Thanks!
#SwiftUI dark/light mode transition concepts.
Who else is liking American Primeval on Netflix?
We can only hope. Android has had it for years.
+1 left X and haven’t missed anything.
Agree about the creator vs consumer. 80 / 20 rule-ish.
I’ve gotten much higher engagement on Threads. Despite having 10x followers in X, engagement and reach were basically nothing.
Do you schedule across all platforms?
I don’t recall saying that, but it is rare lol.
Fair, but isn’t that expected? If you keep posting there of course there will be more engagement there.
I find better engagement on threads in comparison but then again I stopped using X 6+ months ago.
Any reason folks that are here are still posting to X?
Why do Apple app promo codes expire? 🥲
One of the reason I feel Apple engineers should be able to make their owns apps. There’s a lack of full understanding when you’re not able to use the thing you’re building for in the same way others can.
