This is a really, really cool project: Rules engine/flow conductor in a TypeScript object with various frontend adapters

Shatner is incredibly eloquent when he wants to be.
William Shatner is 95.
Hereβs what was going through his mind as he boldly went where a small group of people went before.
Humble & haunting.
Youβre so welcome!

New livestream/podcast thing I'm trying, chatting to people who are doing interesting things in interesting ways. For the first trial episode the wonderful @bendechr.ai has volunteered as tribute: we'll be talking about agentic workflows and interactions at 5pm UTC.

Another Claude stream with me and @dylanbeatt.ie live now at www.youtube.com/watch?v=Emu-...
I think what I like is that thereβs still a lot of exploration and experimentation to do in how to get optimal results out of an agent. Like, tricking a stochastic parrot into building something that works with creative prompting and config and stuff.
I can't remember if it was @rendle.dev or @dylanbeatt.ie who said it, but even if stuff like claude code doesn't actually end the need for software engineers, it's still going to break a lot of people to shift to "project architect for robots" instead of "code monkey"
Yeah, Iβm finding the prompting and interaction strangely fun, and you can always tell the Programmer agent to talk like a pirate and the QA agent to be an English butler just for shits and giggles.
Iβm honestly not missing writing `public async Task<Guid?> TrySaveAsync(β¦)` and such
crying
I'm currently on holiday and I've been experimenting with using a multi-agent workflow, in part based on the great ideas presented by @rendle.dev on their stream with @dylanbeatt.ie to build out an idea without eating into family time.
Exactly
Watching @dylanbeatt.ie talk about CSS and I suddenly realise that CSSASM needs to exist, where the text keys and values become bytecodes; smaller, easier to parse, and we can fix at least some of the historical mistakes.

yay, i helped π
gd it I forgot the #HorrorWritersChat tag
Cats. The correct answer is cats. I read the prompt out loud and @eli.holderness.dev and I both said "cats" at the same time.
It's cats.
I just updated my banner image to a slightly currenter one, if it makes no difference then I shall spend the rest of the week in a state of utter despair

Picture of Marjane Satrapi alongside a quote from her. The quote reads: The world is not divided into countries. The world is not divided between East and West. You are American, I am Iranian, we don't know each other, but we talk together and we understand each other perfectly. The difference between you and your government is much bigger than the difference between you and me. And the difference between me and my government is much bigger than the difference between me and you. And our governments are very much the same... - Marjane Satrapi, Iranian-French graphic novelist
Thinking about this quote from Persepolis creator Marjane Satrapi again.
Yet more Claude talk and experimentation and such

I was the first person to call my Congresswoman's office about this bill. It was fast and easy, and the aide I spoke to was pleasant--and horrified when she heard what they're trying to get away with. Please. Help protect our trans siblings.
More Claude!

Just jumping on another stream with @dylanbeatt.ie to make Claude write some code based on the spec Claude wrote last week. Come see!

The soaring prices of D20s.
Seems like @rendle.dev and my ad-hoc "wtf is Claude Code" series is getting some traction, which is heartening.
We'll be on Wed + Thu + Fri this week, starting around 2pm UK time, live on Twitch (twitch.tv/dylanbeattie) and on YouTube (youtube.com/dylanbeattie). Tune in and chat - or catch up later.
