Man's Life Magazine: Weasels Ripped My Flesh, featuring a shirtless man in water throttling a weasel.
Man's Life Magazine featuring a MF couple, both with their shirts ripped open, in a jungle river being beset by giant serpents. The man is faring significantly worse than the lady but he's copping one last feel before the venom gets him.
True Men Stories: Lizards From Hell. Another de-shirted MF couple in a river, this time being attacked by little green lizards.
True Men Stories: Flying Rodents Ripped My Flesh. It's TWO shirtless men in a river! They're being scratched and bitten by vicious flying squirrels. The background is all orange. Perhaps this is hell.
MANTASY.
Pretty sure this is how modern day liches are created, their soul locked forever away in phylactries of cheap plastic and beady black eyes.
You don’t need AI, you need a critique group that meets every month or so, trades stories, and gives feedback. Or even a mentor. You know: a HUMAN you talk to, who knows the right advice to give because they are also a writer and have been where you are. *Stop talking to a bot*.
On this Trans Day of Visibility, I would just like to say that trans rights are human rights and that celebrating the trans community as a part of all communities enriches every one of us.
A picture from the classic Star Trek: The Original Series episode 'Let That Be Your Last Battlefield' with two characters, one whose face is half-black, half-white and another whose face is half-white and half-black, in what has to be the most ham-fisted allegory about racism possible that only a not particularly bright donkey would fail to understand
Pictured: No points or political/social commentary being made in Star Trek, certainly not, just some pew-pew laser beams
"I avoid politics."
No bestie, you avoid uncomfortable conversations about politics. From the moment you were born til the day you die, you've been thoroughly and utterly enmeshed in the policies, systems, and governance of a society that shapes your experience.
You just try not to think about it.
I think with the level of venom with which AI proponents have treated artists, writers, musicians, whole creative industries, they deserve at the very least to have that venom met in kind, and I hope it stings. I'm only sorry it hasn't happened sooner. Party's over, enjoy the hangover.

If you're wondering why there's so many anti-trans articles written by cis people while so few positive ones written by actual trans people it's because they're intentionally being silenced
We don't need to re-litigate if liking a Joss Whedon show makes you a bad person, or if tropes that were in a show that aired 25 years ago are problematic today. If you're incapable of holding a nuance now is a great time to go outside and talk to real people who aren't online 100% of the time.
It's going to be a reunion show, like they did with Friends a few years ago, with all the cast (or most of them) sitting on a couch, reminiscing about how great the show was and how much they treasure it.
Will probably air on Hulu/Disney + , will probably be around 90 minutes or so.
Amidst all the crazy shit going on in the world for some reason this is the one that is annoying me today:
It's not gonna be a Firefly reboot or restart. Almost all of those actors have current acting commitments that take up most of their working time.
The success of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms just proves that, while I would love for GRRM to finish Winds of Winter, what I'm really looking forward to is more Dunk and Egg novellas.

Abolish it, Chuck. You gotta get rid of the whole damn thing. It can't be reformed.
Abolish ICE.
There’s no reforming it.
There’s no compromise.
There’s only one way to rein in ICE’s terror campaign. Abolish it.
Meme of a snarling orc with white text 'looks like blue wave's back on the menu'
Look if Minnesota is the hub then it's a Purple Revolution.
Transphobia is a cancer of the heart and mind.
It is a useless fear, based on ignorance and cruelty.
Trans people are not responsible for a single one of the problems we face.
Do the world a favor and grow the fuck up.

In solidarity with today's ICE OUT OF MINNESOTA blackout, MinnMax is donating $1 to the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota for every share of this Bluesky post for the next hour.
Stonks meme but the arrow is going down with text that says 'not stonks'
Subscriptions to Rolling Stones after they start publishing trash like this:
I just think it's wild that the armed professionals who wander our streets are allowed to act in fear, but the untrained normal citizens are supposed to know exactly what to do under terrifying circumstances or die
If you have a special something that others cannot duplicate or doesn't feel focus-grouped to death, readers will eagerly await your next book
You are writing to market: YOUR market. The good thing is that I write these things because I like them and my readers also like them, so it isn't a drain
