“we learned the lawyers from the other side write the judge’s filings, write her rulings. so i guess… starting to think it’s a set deal.”

i think he’s referring to the extremely normal practice of the judge asking one of the attorneys to prepare a draft of the proposed order lmao

We could do this with voter registration, but too many people are committed to voter disenfranchisement.

Dare I say this. When you have had certain slurs thrown your way— and your friends whom who deeply care about— slurs that are often attached to threats of violence and forms of intimidation, I don’t want it in my email. Period.

We can discuss things without gratuitously tossing them in my inbox.

Pfizer has ended its large Phase III Trial of an updated COVID19 vaccine.

They were not able to enroll enough people to meet their goal.

A major problem is the FDA’s wholly unreasonable demand that people with chronic conditions, who benefit most from the vaccine, not be allowed to participate.

When the birthright citizenship decision comes out, people will say it could never have gone any other way, that the law was obvious. But the mere fact that SCOTUS took on the case is evidence enough that we are living in a time of democratic precarity.

This is a terrible story. I will point out that incarcerated people are commonly targeted for identity theft bc there's no Experian in prison; however I've seen very few stories about this.

Six years ago a client came to me. His landlord was trying to evict him over the last payment of a rent to own contract. The client had remodeled the entire house himself with his own hands, a room at a time.

Today, client won the house.

Some days are good days.

We can’t clean up Washington without restoring integrity to the Supreme Court.

That’s why I believe we should expand the Supreme Court to 13 justices. And then, institute term limits.

Because an appointment to the Supreme Court shouldn’t mean a lifetime lack of accountability.

It would be cool to have a legislature that acted to defend its own constitutional prerogatives and, maybe as a treat, the interests of the people it represents too.
