Beastman - less Warhammer and more Mork Borg in spirit. Cut off details and sculpted new ones (and lots of matted fur) onto a plastic Pestigor (great kit BTW)
I presume these are the same scale as Chaos Marines, and still a tad shorter than Primaris. New Firstborn would be good, although I think that lack of interchangability with the modern kits might hamper them a bit.
I feel the same, I like them but if these came out 10 or so years ago I would have really enthusiastic about them.
Also used Stormvermin Fur for the mushrooms and tendrils, shaded and highlighted as above.
Thanks! Off the top of my head, Knight-Questor Flesh, shaded by mixing in Stegadon Scale Grey and highlighted by mixing in AK Ice Yellow. A bit of glazing of Death Guard Green around the lips and eye, same but with Khorne Red over the eye itself. Was experimenting as I went along.
First painted minis for 2026 - the tokens for Warhammer Quest Darkwater. Gave them smaller 20mm bases and painted differently than the usual Nurgle colours, so they are more general purpose for fantasy model-agnostic systems.
Painted a set of #10mm Boneblades over the last few months, just finished before years end. I love my brick of tiny Skeletons!
Rough plans for 2026 hobby:
Finish a Blood Bowl team or two, and play with them!
Finish a pair of Fallout Faction gangs, and play the game!
Finish other ongoing painting projects (MESBG, 10mm CFB, maybe more Orks)
Carry on with building Turnip28, paint them too!
Carry on with terrain building!
Another difficult year, but at least I made a bunch more Turnip28 goobers, and painted a fair few 10mm mins for Classic Fantasy Battles. Here’s to 2026, hopefully a kinder and easier year 🎉

Agreed, and not overly detailed like many modern GW sculpts either.
I like both, and glad we’re getting the standalone kit with or shortly after the Darkwater ones

Horrible Hedge Knight for Turnip28 by Robin Carey
Picked up some more Perry Miniatures sprues (Spanish Guerrillas) and made some Bandits - one of my previous conversions were incorporated into these (with a new head swap - I love the top hats on the Guerrilla sprue).

TREES - added one of the Orc casualties from the WA kit on one of the bases. #10mm
Painted up some #10mm Orcs from #wargamesatlantic and their Classic Fantasy Battles range. The trees are 3D prints I picked up a couple years ago at Salute.
Will come back and add some final finishing highlights at a later date - too many other projects to get back to!
