Return of the red squirrels! There are at least 3 in my trees today. One has a white-tipped tail; haven't managed to get a pic yet, but will keep trying!

Recent hike to look for elk migration routes with one of my game wardens.

How do you manage an elk herd that's here for hunting season but migrates to Idaho for counting season? That is the question...

My heart

Yard volunteers. Dogwood (I think?) and fireweed.

Trying to figure out how to keep the dogwood without the neighborhood deer destroying it... So far I just keep spraying it with deer repellent which isn't totally working.
