Ontario to build on ‘strong mayor’ system by appointing ‘strong’ regional chairs Ontario’s municipal affairs minister is proposing to appoint a slate of regional council chairs and give them additional powers, as the government has done with so-called strong mayors.

This is outrageous! By giving his government the power to appoint ALL regional chairs across Ontario, Premier Ford is effectively seizing control of regional governments.

In Toronto yes, but in Cambridge only where there isn't a grassy boulevard between the sidewalk and the road. Funny enough, sidewalk clearing in (at least Scarborough) is contentious... homeowners fear for their lawns when the lil plow comes by 🙄

Had a 10 am workshop this morning so I set my alarm for 7:28 as normal. Woke up, gotta do things, no snooze! Looked at my phone a few minutes later and it said 8:44

The part that stressed me out was that I offered my copy of the Canadian Green Consumer Guide for some reason...which I regretted a lot because it's a cool book. Oh well. Maybe I will patch it back together one day.

This month they’re doing collages. Collages stress me out and I’m a little glad I’m missing out BUT I do hear lots of people find that collage art is fun and light and sweet and overall BGDC is a darling queer community space open to all ages go enjoy!!
