i usually do these things in python. plenty of libs that work with this type of data. and for plotting i use matplotlib, but other libs are also fine. ymmv.

they can destroy the port themselves, then the drones will stop flying.

she should be happy about the drones.

the sooner the drones completely blow up the port the sooner the she can go out and play by the sea with her kid. it’s a win-win for everyone.

i have serious doubts that you can use the bed in the xxl truck to carry stuff beyond some small stuff. you want the bed to be fairly low to the ground so you can lift and move stuff around without getting too tired…

This reminds me of the “reliability” debate around renewables, even though reliability is a property of the power grid and not of energy sources. Fossil fuel shills will point out that renewables are not “reliable” even as fossil fuels experience massive price volatility at regular intervals.

Belarus doesn’t have an army really, maybe soldiers enough for one or two brigades, but Putin can definitely use Belarusians for meat assaults. And Putin is desperate for fresh meat, so he might be pressuring Luka to do this.

he’s been pushing putin propaganda since at least the start of the russian invasion in 2022.

“In Japan, the current crisis is reinforcing government efforts to push companies to invest in gas assets outside the Middle East.”

Haha Japan never learns. What a disgrace for a developed country.

this option will make trumps friends selling fossil fuels most rich. they’re gonna rake in even more profits.

less of a war, more of a collective self-immolation of the west.

And how it ends...

most people have very little surface understanding of things they support/oppose and often that is shaped by reactionary politics, so in that sense slogans don’t matter much. the far right will literally make up bs imaginary problems and people will just go with it.

if you’re Batman — a billionaire vigilante in a rubberized exo-skeleton that is impervious to most conventional weapons, and have access to all the best tech in the world, you don’t really need guns.

indeed. a typical car going 50km/h has something like 1000-2000 times the kinetic energy of a pedestrian. if it hits you, you’ll end up dead or gravely injured.

in most places there are already regulations, ebikes are limited to 25 km/h. faster than that is considered a type ii moped for which you need a license.

nothing really shocking tbh. he’s been fascinated with llms since they appeared and is deeply convinced that they’ll take over anything related with words.

personally, after having used them, and seen them being used by colleagues, they can do some things well, but they also suck for other tasks

llms are also quite good at machine translation. and yet google et al. aren’t really pushing llms for that. a lot of the time they’re used for “grok is this true”, which is hilarious and sad in itself.

still not impressed a bit with claude code. its fine for small code-snippets or making a project skeleton. for larger things it get exponentially more annoying and hard to control what it does.
