indeed. a typical car going 50km/h has something like 1000-2000 times the kinetic energy of a pedestrian. if it hits you, you’ll end up dead or gravely injured.

in most places there are already regulations, ebikes are limited to 25 km/h. faster than that is considered a type ii moped for which you need a license.

nothing really shocking tbh. he’s been fascinated with llms since they appeared and is deeply convinced that they’ll take over anything related with words.

personally, after having used them, and seen them being used by colleagues, they can do some things well, but they also suck for other tasks

llms are also quite good at machine translation. and yet google et al. aren’t really pushing llms for that. a lot of the time they’re used for “grok is this true”, which is hilarious and sad in itself.

still not impressed a bit with claude code. its fine for small code-snippets or making a project skeleton. for larger things it get exponentially more annoying and hard to control what it does.
