With a procedural like Burn Notice, it seems like they always start as self contained episodes, begin adding arching elements and eventually drop the procedural element right around the time you feel it gets repetitive.

It was pretty awful. We were at a neighbors and watching three phone streams while trying to get the TV to connect. Finally got it midway during the ladies fight and then it was good the rest of the way.
