I did some research to try and figure out when my death date would be if there had been no treatment for my cancer. I don't know why I assumed it would be some date in the future, but, in fact, I passed the middle of the "no treatment survival" bell curve more than a year ago. Thanks chemo.

Aw, thank you! ❤️
Time will tell!
Thanks!
Well! It’s been so long since I used Bluesky that I had to re-log in. Oops. I’ll try to be better.
And now it’s 1 April!
We had heavy rain in this part of Kirikiriroa-Hamilton, even torrential rain for a little while, and a few strong wind gusts, but nothing else (haven’t heard any reports of anything bad in the rest of the city, not like the “mini tornado” in the previous storm).
A recent study found that for every $1 invested in the National Weather Service, it produces $73 in value to Americans.
Not only is the NWS a life-saving government resource, it's actually quite efficient.
WIRED: The Social Security Administration Is Gutting Regional Staff and Shifting All Public Communications to X
Trump is forcing Americans who are seeking their earned benefits to sign up for Elon Musk's app.
Pure corruption.
The most corrupt administration in American history wants you to look the other way from this.
We can't. We need answers.
Today would be a great day to ban members of Congress and their families from trading stocks.
A Delaware judge finds the right-wing network aired false and defamatory statements about Dominion Voting Systems' role in the 2020 presidential election. A jury trial is slated for late April.
No other comment is appropriate: 🤣
“She describes [Zuckerberg] as a cross between a truculent teen and a toddler: he doesn’t like to get up before midday, even to meet prime ministers, and his obsequious colleagues feel obliged to let him beat them at board games.”
Sigh. The tech bros are all the same.
One thing Trump didn't talk about last night: his plans to abandon American women’s right to abortion care in medical emergencies.
I wonder why he wouldn't want anyone to know that.
In Oversight today, my colleagues stuck to their usual script: blaming immigrants for all crime & claiming Dem mayors are too soft. Well, I was curious to know if they’ve ever had an immigrant with a criminal record that they could recall. Tune in!
Alina Habbard posted: NOTHING CAN STOP THIS MAN FROM FIGHTING FOR HIS COUNTRY.
David Simon had a succinct 2-word response: “Bone spurs.”
Well said!
Etymology of the day: ‘book’ comes from an ancient root shared by ‘beech’, a wood that people used for engraving inscriptions. ‘Paper’ comes from ‘papyrus’, and ‘volume’ is from the Latin for a ‘roll’ of parchment.
Happy World Book Day.
Donald Trump promised he wouldn't cut Medicaid.
This week, his friends in DC voted for a bill that would leave 3.4 million Illinoisans, including 1.4 million children, in the dust.
Another middle finger to working families and the most vulnerable in our state.
I’ve always believed that if I’m craving something to eat, especially something I seldom have, my body probably needs something in it. I might be wrong, but, 🤷🏻♂️.
So increasing the minimum wage to a livable wage is “socialism”?
But Amazon union busting, keeping wages low, and forcing workers onto public assistance while its founder increases his net worth by $7.9M an hour is the "free market"?
Perhaps this could be a WaPo opinion piece.
@meidasjordy.bsky.social Saw you guys on MSNBC (via YouTube) and you all did a great job. I also found out I wasn’t subscribed to the podcast—now sorted!
“If our Christianity causes kids to go hungry, the sick to go without healthcare, the stranger to be unwelcome, the elderly on social security to be called a ‘parasite,’ all while billionaires get richer, we’ve profoundly misunderstood the most basic elements of Jesus’ teachings.”

Yep. Sourcing facts is harder now that the regime has taken down government statistics and reports. Also, the legacy media, for all its many faults, DOES do some good work, like the NYT’s recent reporting on President Elon’s extensive conflicts of interest and his actions that benefit his companies.
I agree. But legacy media isn’t presenting facts, it ignores crimes in progress and the regime’s clear corruption (especially relating to President Elon), while it sane-washes the convicted felon. They’re like the dog in the “everything’s fine” meme: Everything’s on fire and they pretend it’s not.
“I expect you will eventually find someone who is enough of a fool, or enough of a coward, to file your motion. But it was never going to be me.”
