I don't know who needs to hear this, but there is no version of a free society where secret police roaming the streets is acceptable.

You’re gross. 40 days of sacrifice, and you caved completely on everything. WHAT WAS IT ALL EVEN FOR?!

I lived on Wilbur Ave for years. Watching you walk through the neighborhood really brought the nostalgia.

Also, best of luck to you. That district definitely needs new blood.

I was there too! A hugely inspiring day.

I’m yelling it from the rooftops, but it turns out that being the mayor of an 1,100 person town doesn’t give you a whole lot of reach. I’ll keep trying, though. Thanks, Governor Stein. We appreciate you so much.

Dude runs a podcast. You’d think he could get the audio right.

Dude, everyone knows that's Joey Fatone, the guy from N'Sync.

He'll find a way to blame that on Biden too, I'm sure.

Respectfully, I think that both things can be true at the same time. We can acknowledge that the people need to be held accountable for our current situation, but we can also acknowledge that the Dems, as an opposition party, have a responsibility to use every lever of power they can to fight.

It’s your job to fight for us, and you have done NOTHING to stop this. Congressional Democrats, including yourself, have failed us at every turn.

I’d say “poor Elon,” but I was told that empathy was the fundamental weakness of western civilization, so… *shrug*

DO SOMETHING.

Congress is the only entity that can possibly rein him in, and you guys are sitting on your hands. PLEASE do something.

“Getting booed off the stage at a Dave Chappelle show” and “having Barack Obama make some jokes about you at a fancy dinner” are probably the dumbest supervillain origin stories ever, and yet here we are.

But consider: he’s got a really important book tour coming up, so he shouldn’t have to worry about any of that stuff right now. /s

Not another penny for ANY OF YOU UNTIL SCHUMER IS OUSTED AS MINORITY LEADER. We are livid, Senator. Absolutely livid.

Welp. Thats a wrap on Article I. You had a good run, Congress, but you’re done. You ceded the last of your authority and there’s no coming back from that. Especially with this administration. I will NEVER forgive Congressional dems for this utter betrayal.

For whatever it’s worth, I will absolutely donate to the primary challengers of every single Democratic senator who votes Yes for cloture or the spending bill.

Okay, but what's your stance on the cloture vote?

So you’re giving up. Great.

Criminally underrated comment.

You were incredible in Pride and Prejudice. Your Elizabeth Bennet was sublime.

Generally, I respect you for you service and for standing up to your former party, but this is an awful take. Rep. Green shaking his cane was a hugely brave act of resistance, especially given how feckless the Dems have been throughout this entire debacle.

A rare L for you, sir.

Fight how? I really want to know. Because polite little signs and color coded outfits ain’t it.

It's like when Congressional Dems wore kente-cloth and took a knee for George Floyd; it's a completely performative gesture that utterly fails to meet the severity of the moment. I'm deeply embarrassed to be a Democrat tonight.
