Democrats know that any tax increase means huge losses in at least the next election. Trickle down economics always sounds good even though all big tax cuts do is increase the debt. But no one wants to believe it so no one even tries to oppose it any more.

Corporate media always frame the news as “Whatever Republicans do is the norm. We need to question anything that departs from that.” She completely and repeatedly ignores when Holder points out that that Republicans started the redirecting wars in Texas and have tried anywhere else they can.

Some of this also has to do with who wants to live where. When a friend of mine moved into her rent-controlled Manhattan apartment in the early 70s, no one wanted to live in SoHo. Fifty years later, her neighbors are rock singers and film actors. Who knows what it will be like 50 years from now.

Roberts has spent his whole legal career serving Republican corporate interests. It’s a clear pattern. Like all Republican government officials, he serves billionaires and corporations and views the Constitution, the law, and the people as challenges to be overcome. Shame on him!
