Yesterday, MPP France Gélinas and I hand-delivered this letter to the Minister of Transportation, the Hon. Prabmeet Sakaria urging him to make the 4-laning of HWY 69 a priority.
Sign my petition or reach out to my office to share how you've been affected by the Ford government inaction on HWY 69.

Stop Putting Lives at Risk - Four Lane Highway 69 NOW! MPP, Sudbury

Despite multiple promises, Ford has not tendered a single KM of highway 69 since assuming provincial government in 2018!
NOT ONE SINGLE KILOMETER!
Help me bring your voice to Queens Park! Together let us pressure the Premier to follow through on his commitments.

Privilege to meet with TCEU Local 416 during their Advocacy Day to hear about the supports they need from the Government. They represent nearly 8,000 workers across Toronto's essential municipal services, emergency response, and community intervention programs. Thank you for all that you do!

Stephen Lewis was a giant in our movement. He was a tremendous orator, a fighter for the working class, and his effortless kindness and willingness to lift up those around him will never be forgotten.

Students are standing up to Doug Ford and his gutting of OSAP grants. Young people cannot afford more Conservative cuts to education and an endless cycle of student debt when the cost of living is already unberable. Together we are gong to continue to fight to save OSAP ✊️

First day back at Queen's Park! Families and educators came ready to rally and fight for public education. The underfunding of our public education system, cuts to special education in our schools, and prolonged delays and uncertainty within the Ontario Autism Program (OAP) are harming our kids.

Joined my colleagues for part of their northern highway safety tour to shed a light on the roads conditions up north. This is a chance to raise awareness, but also to talk to communities, families and impacted individuals so that we can continue to bring forward solutions to keep people safe.

My thanks to the volunteers and staff at the Blue Door Soup Kitchen for letting my co-op student Jasmine and I join you for the morning. It was a pleasure to work alongside you, and to learn more about the work being done to help Sudburians stay fed.

With over 100 booths, you can't miss the Northern Ontario Mining Showcase at PDAC. Great to join the opening day ceremony. Mayor Lefebvre, MP Lapointe and I are all commitment to the success of Sudbury's mining industry, the workers and the communities where they operate.

MPP Gelinas and I had a very valuable breakfast meeting with the Registered Nurses Association. Access to timely care is top of mind for so many in our community so it was very helpful to sit down and hear about the experience of our frontline healthcare workers.

We have written to Minister Jones about the funding that was promised for a HART Hub in Sudbury. This funding was promised over a year ago, and we need answers from the Government about when this funding is actually coming and how it will be implemented to support our community.

Went for a tour of the Carpenters Union Local 2486 Training Centre.

They are a huge part of preparing workers for important careers in the skilled trades and training the next generation of workers to build the critical infrastructure and housing that Northern Ontario and our province needs.

We are greatly concerned about the closure of the the LifeLabs laboratory here in Sudbury. We continue to urge the Premier and Minister of Health to intervene so Sudbury’s LifeLabs laboratory does not shutter this spring as planned.

Morning Sudbury! If you haven’t been outside yet. It’s currently raining - turning to sleet. School buses are cancelled. If you haven’t to go out, please give yourself extra time, drive with caution, and be kind to others!

Important conversations at our labour roundtable. Glad to have our Leader Marit Stiles join us, to hear directly from workers in Northern Ontario. We will continue to stand with our workers, and to fight for safer jobs, stronger public services, and greater stability in these uncertain times.

Great afternoon touring the LiUNA Local 493 training center! The center does incredible work training our northern workers, and they're always ready and looking for people who want a job with better pay, benefits and a pension. They pride themselves on professional training- "show up and pro up"!
