Japanese people ending sentences with 「ね」, but increasingly aggressively, indirectly saying "YOU WILL FUCKING AGREE WITH ME! I AM YOUR SUPERIOR!"

Jim Ryan was Sony's Don Matrick.
Note: this is also a shitpost, throwing shade at the American narrative about games history.
That Otaku guy wishes he was me: and absolute loser British guy who moved to Japan way too late and ends up on a dead end job.
But at least I, the British loser, actually ended up in Japan rather than got stuck in Blighty, larping online.
BTW, Japan is not the Conservative heaven these folks think
Og Marathon
Moonchild was the gateway, then people suddenly remembered the Amiga. Now we are all at risk.
This move actively admits that EUROPE HAD A GAME CULTURE! Do you not realise how toxic that will be to people with taste? Only the US and Japan are permitted to have a video game past.
Oh yeah, Moonchild shitposting is all fun and games...
AND THEN THIS HAPPENS!
Consider what you post in the future. The consequences can be devastating for the world!
Back to windows to sort out some things.
Seriously, can these pop ups fuck off?
Why are my mouse drivers crashing out?
Why does my hard disk and GPU keep cranking themselves up for no reason?
Sure, Windows is easy to use (sort of), but it keeps bugging you and keeps doing inexplicable things.
Lunark Steam header.
I've actually been clearing my backlog really well over the past couple of months. There have been a couple of duds that I don't want to make a fuss over because... that's just dickish.
I think it is time to try and finally finish Lunark!
Data East I'll always associate with the Robocop arcade game.
Pate: When the other FromSoft staff said "What if Patches, but you don't know that yet?"
I know I keep pulling this up, but as I was writing up my Steam review, I kept thinking about how it feels like it was pushed out with only half of what the devs wanted.
I know all games are "abandoned rather than finished" but I'd love to see what ended up on the cutting room floor for this one.
No problem. I just picked on that detail as some folks seem to use the term "autistically" as a slang term. Neuro-divergence is a pain to deal with at times.
I just know that I've almost left highly negative reviews because I become fixated on some elements that disappointed me. I try not to now.
Despite my minor quibbles, I do think it is worth it. I don't want to call it a boomer shooter, as it is as much of a boomshoot as the Ashes series is. Way more interesting with the core systems.
Solid 7/10 - 79/100
Finished.
While I did like it, the pacing and style lurched all over the place. Some bits were really cool, but I wished there were more parts like the open city chapter.
The final chapter was quite good though. I felt the final boss came up very suddenly and felt like an anti-climax.
As much as "Autistically hyperfocused" is possibly hyperbole, I'd say neurological issues are a big part of it. I'm autistic and can be VERY harsh. I've just learned over the years to not take it out publicly on something I hate played.
Also, to stop playing things triggering my anger.
This has a vague part: "and for other purposes"
At uni I looked into Chinese law for a while, especially regarding how the internet functions there. Their laws are riddled with lots of vague clauses that can get you into trouble if powerful people wished. See Article 293 for the wildest example.
This is like a title that got an 8/10 in a magazine in 1999, that complained about the graphics being outdated, but well liked. A title that ended up as an insanely cult title for a select bunch who played it, but everyone outside of the community has no clue it exists beyond the name.
Beyond Sunset looking at a weird tech shrine dedicated to a tech goddess.
Beyond Sunset was sitting in my backlog for ages.
Now I'm chewing through it.
Its hard to put a finger on what exactly it reminds me of. There is the same vibe as E.Y.E. Divine Cybermancy, with high tech religious overtones, but more 90s and less of a fever dream.
Ryzen 5800X3D got a new batch put out? If you have an AM4 system still, that would be the best thing out there.
Only if it is well priced though.
Creepy fuckface in the river.
The way memes place forgotten things on a pedestal and make them cult is so odd.
Dutch man in 97: "My Amiga-ass platformer came a bit late and on PC, but I'm happy with it none the less. I'm glad the music was good. What to do next?"
30 years later on social media: "wtf?"
Nope cola. Apparently Japan's best selling cola right now. It tastes like chemical bath.
This stuff is so weird.
hello bluesky is crap
vibe coded poop for people who have zero taste
This fucking site man
I guess now is a good a time as ever to see if I can figure out how Masterdon works.
If there is a ratty looking building in Japan that still seems to be used, it is more than likely a pachinko parlour.
The weird thing is, I still remember when it was the mid 2000s and people considered 4chan to be a "left wing agitator" platform. The number of news platforms the user-base baited back then was quite funny.
2009-2010 onwards... it was less fun.
I know it just seems like Linux boasting right now, but fucking hell! It is embarrassing how shit Windows is for games these days.
The moral: Make a good OS without loads of needless bloat that isn't vibecoded.
After testing about a half dozen titles in both Windows and Linux, I have to say that Linux is weirdly way more compatible with a lot of titles that gave me trouble.
Arthurian Legends: Works perfectly
Elden Ring: Masses of stutters gone
Hellscreen: Still some issues, but the FPS drop is gone
This also reminds me that I need to actually start recording gameplay from Linux. I stopped doing that for some reason last year when I made more of a big switch. Now CachyOS is cool, but I've not got much installed to go on.
