You might have noticed that we love frogs, and we think that you might love frogs too.
Thus we have decided to take the bold leap to become a fully frog-centric development studio.
As a first important step we're officially rebranding Parkitect to Frogitect.
We hope you enjoy this new direction πΈ

Hey! Parkitect is free to play on Steam right now until March 9th!
We're also giving the Booms & Blooms DLC away for free on Steam until March 9th - and you get to keep it afterwards, so make sure to go grab it if you don't own it already π
Have fun everyone!

A new game that captures the feeling of classic SimCity would really be amazing

Surprise, we just released a new deco-focused DLC for Parkitect!
Dinos & Dynasties adds two new themes (Dinos and Ancient World) and three new attractions.
There's also a free update that adds a cheat menu for sandbox mode.

New devlog!
I wrote about the challenges we encountered with pathfinding and character movement in Croakwood and how we solved them: www.texelraptor.com/blog/croakwo...

A graph. "Confidence in Quality of Game" on the Y axis, "TIME" on the x. The line starts out confident but by the end is fucking all over the place.
Reminded of this important document, as true today as it was TEN years ago.
Entitled "Look, I made you a little graph about Game Development"

Super nice! I was toying around with doing this over the winter holidays but couldn't quite figure out how to get imgui workingπ
We recently worked on peeking into houses a lot, making sure it's working smoothly and adding some animations for polish π‘

Alright, adding hay fever
Surprise! We released a free update for Parkitects 6th anniversary today that adds a new custom campaign editor.
Can't wait to see what it'll be used for :)

Nope never applied, as you said wasn't aware and looking at it now due to how international we are we probably wouldn't have been eligible unfortunately (could argue for 50% located in Germany maybe but not majority).
And sure! Maybe at Gamescom or so, would be nice :)
Yes! Our team is working remotely from all over the world but I'm from Germany.
The idea for the carriers in Parkitect 100% comes from Settlers, the other building game series I love a lot besides RCT (you might also see some influences in our current project). And similar thoughts about RCT1-2 vs RCT3 lead to the decision to continue working on that prototype.
Ohh fascinating! That's such an interesting parallelism of thoughts and events. Being disappointed with that mobile game they went with is what caused me to tinker around with a tiny coaster prototype, similar to the one you currently have.
Hey, first of all thanks! And sorry for interjecting, but I got really curious by this popping up in our mentions and your profile haha
Do you mean BlueByte was interested in doing a RCT game with resource transportation?
Would love to join if there's still a spot π
π Please take a glimpse at what we've been working on these past months ! We had some presence on other socials, but it was about time we showed Ambroise here ! π π
Stay tuned for some more little detective news β¨
