Opinions are like assholes.

The Internet has too many of both.

I haven't given my utility enough info to tell me we're "inefficient," but their Energy Star thingy says we're a 5.6/10.

That's 3k sq ft, 100% electric (but no EVs) and 71 kWh/day avg over the past 12 months. (41 kWh/day net from the grid, thanks to solar.)

Can't imagine what would rate a 10.

And the less said about Coffee Crisp, the better.

The Seattle hreat wheel takes center stage while a ferry leaves the dock. The orange cranes of the port of Seattle are in the background. The entire scene is gray and dreary.

Seattle is looking very Seattle today.

They weren't his: "Two pyrotechnic companies stored millions of pounds of explosives on the lieutenant’s property over the course of a decade, while he used his position to shield the illicit operation from scrutiny, prosecutors allege."

I once lived near a shopping mall where the speed limit in the parking lot was posted as 14 1/2 mph.

Nobody took it seriously.

I once posted on Twitter that if eggs benedict and potatoes au gratin were a thing, then it was perfectly reasonable for me to order two sausages McMuffin with egg and the person at the drive-thru should just deal with it.

You should experience the analysis paralysis that comes from visiting the factory store in Hobart, Indiana where they have every flavor available. (And where you can buy a 5 pound bag of factory seconds for less than ten bucks, or at least you could 10 years ago when I still lived in Indiana.)

Hot Ones Hot Sauce 10 Pack - Season 29 The Hot Ones lineup for Season 29 turns up the creativity with a bold mix of newcomers, returning makers, and the most intense Last Dab we’ve ever released.

You can do the DIY version for only a medium amount of money: heatonist.com/products/hot...

(#8 is different, because Da Bomb is made with extracted capsaicin, and Heatonist only sells sauces made from peppers, but it's probably close enough.)

A screenshot of the post I'm replying to, which appears to read "Standplaats Kraków could really use some ... SUPER IDIOT DRINK"

This reads completely differently when you're just scrolling through The Thread:

The good news is, I have it on good authority (i.e. mine) that if there's no more moon, there's no more Monday

I live in the foothills east of Redmond, and I tell people from outside Washington that I live in Seattle. It's all good.

Where might one find this restaurant? Asking for a me.

I'm sure they'll still be available. Where there's demand, there's supply. They'll just be a bit harder to get.

(Though of course you can still make your own using supplies from your local hardware store, if you're in a hurry to meet your maker.)

Headline from KIRO 7 News reading "One person dead after being pulled from Green Lake in Seattle"

To me, this headline suggests that the person was doing just fine until someone pulled them out of the lake. I'm assuming they had gills.

It doesn't have to be by type, really. Technically, mine are sorted by connector profile and gender, with a subcategory for "not really usb, just power" but my misc is broken up into "devices" and "peripherals" based on whether it stays connected 24/7 or not. You could sort by decade, maybe.

I still haven't located the stash of RS232-TTL breakouts that I know I ordered and received years ago, but at least I know where the second batch I ordered are.

Still haven't gotten around to using any of them, mind you.

My box of USB cables used to be like that. Now it contains a couple dozen large ziploc bags, each containing all of a single type of cable and a large, brightly colored label saying what type of cables it contains. And each cable has a velcro tie.

My unique spin on this: I knew what happened to the charger for my laptop, and that I needed a new one. I ordered a new one. It shipped. Then I found one at the thrift store.

I'm using the thrifted one. I'll forget about the new one by the time I need it.

I usually find the one I already have in the couple of days between the new one shipping and the new one arriving

Is that the entity naming thing?

I'm personally in favor of any change that might make a certain HACS integration stop renaming all of its entities every time I update it, but I might be in the minority

"Bite me."

(And if you actually wanted to go to ORD for some unfathomable reason, the CTA Blue Line will get you there from the Loop, and it's still faster than a bus, even if you include the walk from Millennium Park to the Blue Line.)

The dumbest thing about that story of taking a bus instead of a plane from South Bend to ORD is that there's a train that goes from the South Bend airport directly to Millennium Park in Chicago, it's way faster than any bus, and it doesn't leave you stuck at O'Hare.

Can we stop calling it "vibe coded" and start calling it "slopdash?"
