The government was forced to admit the EHRC’s transphobic draft guidance got it wrong, and they’ve had to send it back to the drawing board.
But the fight is far from over. They plan to bring an updated version back to parliament in May. So we need to act – fast 👇

Good to know that if you give me midazolam I will not shut up. I fear what secrets I’ve spilt to my surgeon and anaesthetist.
Any pubs showing the Installation of the 106th Archbishop of Canterbury?
Wh....why are you looking at me like that?
Lords voted to ensure no one is prosecuted for having an abortion ever again and as someone who had the privilege of being two best friend’s abortion-partners last year I gotta have a little cry at it THANK GOD for autonomy and justice
Background is a vertical trans flag Text reads ‘I am being published in; Trans Poetica Transcendent Joe for troubling times’ ‘in collaboration with three small presses’ Logs of written off publishing, Punk dust poetry and Allograph are at the bottom

My submission was written as an ode to what this body I have allows me to do, even when this body doesn’t always feel like mine.
Devour the whole anthology Summer 2026!
I know I’ve got some Labour local gov’t types following me, so I want to say this clearly so that you can share it internally as appropriate: I will never again vote Labour while these policies, or Wes Streeting, are in place. I will not vote Labour at any level because of this.
32 experts find Wes Streeting is a lying d!ckhead.
Yesterday the Government announced UK medical graduates will be prioritised for NHS jobs in new legislation, which is a step forward in tackling the doctors’ jobs crisis.
But this alone won’t fix it.

Yeah. Not the most trans inclusive vibe that their first thought was to _literally_ allow her to debate trans lives!
Think I’ll hang off til I see if you are excited about platforming transphobia still thanks!
Very disappointed by your decision to invite notorious transphobe Helen Lewis. Very clear statement being made that trans people are not safe and welcome here
What did I do for winter solstice you ask?
Well I went to a 9 lessons and carols service, got home then immediately drank wine naked on my bed.
My monk-ish friend journaled and lit candles.
We are not the same
It's going to be really easy to get scared today, especially after the year it's been in the UK for trans people. The best thing you can do is to take care of yourself and to check in with others in your life.
There are enough brilliant people toothcombing the report, nothing's going to slip by us

To all those we have lost, we say:
We remember them.
To all those who survive, we say:
We cherish them.
To all those who fight on, we say:
We protect them.
‘Wtf is going on here’ will ring in my mind for a long time
Lil bit of morning prayer, as a refreshment for the day

First ever set of nights start this evening…I fear I may look worse than half the patients by the time we hit 4am
BREAKING 🚨
The updated EHRC Code of Practice has now been sent to the Government. The Code is just as bad as we feared.
It would mean a mandatory trans bathroom ban, and trans people's exclusion from public life. The impact would be devastating.
But politicians still have time to stop this.
A crochet rectangle large enough to go over a knee with stripes of different colours. Three fabric wristbands are sewn on in year order.
All of my (3!) @greenbeltfestival.bsky.social wristbands attached to my hodgepodge crochet lap blanket made from the last bits of yarn from many different projects, all come together for one creation stitched at this year’s festival. Feels quite apt really.
it’s been decided THIS MORNING that I can be at @greenbeltfestival.bsky.social this year and quite frankly I cannot wait
The @scmbritain.bsky.social Trans Theology Group are running a session for all 4pm saturday at the Franciscan chapel- we’d love to see you! Now, where’d I put that sleeping bag?
And let me be clear -- I wish on JK Rowling everything that she wishes upon trans people.
The witch trials of 1612 still cast a long shadow.
And yes, one of the symptoms that made me go ‘no this isn’t normal’ was pain during sex. That and the passing out on an ID ward during the first week of year 4 whilst bleeding through my scrubs (despite a cup and a night pad)
8 years of debilitating pain, never taken seriously, called uncooperative for refusing hormonal birth control (I quite like not going psychotic), told ‘we won’t find anything’, told ‘there is no treatment’
MRIs showing endo and adeno later and I am now on a med licensed specifically to treat these.
