The Star Tribune reports that federal agents "attempted to order local police from the scene" where a man was shot and killed by feds this morning, but Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara refused and "instructed his officers to preserve the scene."
We owe an incredible debt to the Minnesotans who are on the streets protesting and documenting what is happening.
I am trying not to post on these events in this state of mind but: I hope people understand what the observers are doing is brave and dangerous.
ICE is now responsible for 66% of the homicides in Minneapolis this year.
What's the plan, Chuck? I run a fake news website. You're the Senate Minority Leader. What's the plan?
Too obvious a point even to make, perhaps. But there was no “unrest” in Minneapolis before ICE and CBP showed up. ICE and CBP are the cause of the chaos…and the killings.
Get them out of there.
Minneapolis Police Chief O'Hara: "The video speaks for itself. We have identified this person - 37-year-old, white male, resident of the city. The only interaction that we are aware of with law enforcement has been for traffic tickets and we believe he is a lawfully gun owner with a permit to carry"
I wish Democrats would start just speaking the truth:
“ICE is killing American citizens in public for exercising their freedom of speech because Donald Trump wants to be a king.
This isn’t about immigration—Trump wants to make it illegal to oppose him, and to stay in power until he dies.”

Outrageous.
Who. On. Earth. would want to visit America if they didn’t have to for work or pressing family reasons !!
I think this is fair.
Alex Pretti was a colleague at the VA. We hired him to recruit for our trial. He became an ICU nurse- I lover working with him. He was a good kind person who lived to help and these fuckers executed him.
White. Hot. Rage.
I haven't been back from Texas for 24 hours, and there's 3 new reminders why we shouldn't fund DHS without reforms to force them to obey the law.
1. The arrest of little Liam Ramos
2. More brutal treatment of protesters in Minnesota
3. ICE claiming the power to enter our homes
Kindertransport statues, Liverpool Street Station.
Between 1938 and 1939, the Kindertransport rescued thousands of Jewish children from Germany and occupied Europe. This role is commemorated here.
'Suffer the little children.'
Boadicea (Boudicca) and her daughters. Fierce righteous rage.
Westminster. Mother of Parliaments. For all its flaws, part of the arsenal of democracy.

Iraq & Afghanistan Memorial, London.
This hits differently today.
I opposed the Iraq War from the start + history is pretty clear on that. Afghanistan is more complicated but disagreement about policy != disrespect for those who served in good faith.
Which makes todays rhetoric from POTUS esp grim.
‘But the centre for blobby invertebrates is in Washington DC, where a gutless group of jellyfish smear their mucus all over the US Constitution. When it gets tough, they call for a lawyer. Most of them have the memories of goldfish. ' robinhorsfall.substack.com/p/gavin-news...

The irony of ICE detaining and disappearing the original Americans should stop everyone cold.
As a Lakota proverb says, when you discover you’re riding a dead horse, the best strategy is to dismount. This system isn’t broken. It’s dead.
Jessica Tarlov leaves Fox speechless after debunking Trump regime lies about the killing of Renee Good.
She brought receipts.
NEW: last night, the US govt launched an assault on the ‘global censorship industrial complex’, aka European tech researchers/campaigners.
It’s a deeply chilling move & speaks as to why we need international solidarity more than ever.
