not included in this short list but also very important to look up safety info: anything involving metal, any found materials ESPECIALLY SHELLS OR OTHER ITEMS FROM THE OCEAN. i’ve only seen one artist develop a deadly condition due to working with mercury rich oceanic materials but one was enough

art school is a very silly place to spend four years and upwards of $100,000 and most of the time it’s not worth it but there are some mediums you absolutely cannot YOLO your way into. i feel like welding and wood shop are the two obvious ones but there are… many more….
