The culture speaks loud and clear. We know where the real impact is🤎
I can safely say I saw OBAA and didn’t remember it a week later. This Oscars ceremony will forever belong to the cast and crew of Sinners.
That’s gonna be the movie I show to my kids and then their kids. OBAA will fade into obscurity like 75% of all best picture films do.
Ion even wanna give them that. It’s outright theft.
exactly. you think them people enjoyed seeing that mirror held up to their faces only to see no reflection?!
I’ll say this… Sinners is a movie that will still hold weight in 20 years. OBAA will not. I don’t care about no counterarguments. I watched both films and there’s only one that I still think about often.
Sinners is a film for the fucking ages and Coogler was robbed
Sinners is being robbed!
Ain’t see snubbing like that since Good kid Maad city lost to that Macklemore shit at the Grammys. Voter faith was restored with Oppenheimer and then snatched right back with this one…
Love to see it 👏👏

It's (not) funny how white people completely and purposely misunderstand what the joke is here. It's not about ableism, it's about racism. A BLACK comic at a BLACK event is making a BLACK joke to a BLACK audience about a very specific and literal case of racism that happened like a week ago.
Shawn Wayans finally came out of hiding. So happy to see him in a movie again🥹
After considerable soul-searching, I feel compelled to withdraw from the BAFTA emerging talent judging panel. The organisation's handling of the unfortunate Tourette's N-Word incident last night at the awards was utterly unforgivable. I cannot and will not contribute my time energy and expertise to an organisation that has repeatedly failed to safeguard the dignity of its Black guests, members and the Black creative community. This is particularly unfortunate given that this year's cohort boasts some incredible Black talent, especially one of my favourite shows of 2025 "Just Act Normal". However, when an organisation like BAFTA, with its own long history of systemic racism, refuses to acknowledge the harm inflicted on both the Black and disabled communities and offer an appropriate apology, remaining involved would be tantamount to condoning its behaviour. I hope BAFTA leadership comprehend the damage they and the BBC have caused and take the necessary steps to ensure their production staff are inclusive enough to prevent such an issue in the future. Yours sincerely, Jonte Richardson
Black filmmaker Jonte Richardson says he is stepping down as a BAFTA judge:
Shit is a disgrace
you know people have pointed out there seems to be a real lack of interest in addressing what it must have felt like to be a black man on stage on camera and to hear someone scream the worst racial slur at you.
No apologies to the Black people he called the N-word.
Just "sorry you thought those N-words meant anything"
