VizChitra hosted its 1st event in Delhi with #SustainaIndia organised by CEEW and artists Thukral and Tagra.
Day-to-day, the Data Way invited participants to explore climate & sustainability through everyday numbers

Third bar is <1 week away with 18 submissions. Last bar is <24 hours away stacked with bottom section being 46 submissions, 2 hours away with 31 and <1 hour away with 39.
Deadlines are the ultimate motivators!
Our mini analysis shows about half of all applications came in during the final two hours, a fun pattern to notice in the submissions.

We’re thrilled by the response to the call for proposals for #VizChitra2026! Thank you to everyone who submitted.
We received 147 applications this year, up from 114 last year, a nice jump that shows the growing excitement for data visualisation and storytelling.
Back at their laptops at Paper Crane Lab ,they turned those observations into structured @openstreetmap.bsky.social contributions, mapping nearly 130 trees together.
