I personally love it. I usually dilute it to 10%. The clear absolute I’m digging now is really nice. More resin/leather than crotch.

Ha. It might depend on the labdanum. I’ve had some really funky labdanums in the past. So funky that my wife hates any Labdanum now just out of principle.

Smell Words — ex libris odoratis This limited edition book is a collection of over 300 words that can be used to describe smell, fragrance, and perfume.

I wish I could smell words. A book of words to describe smells (called Smell Words) is the next best thing. www.exlibrisodoratis.com/shop/p/smell...

Data and My Perfume Book of Life In Einstein’s Dream, Alan Lightman wistfully imagines fantastical situations that a young Albert Einstein might have had dreamt while passing the time as a lowly patent clerk in Vienna.

I really like Korrigan! It’s all fluffy musk and slightly sweet booze on me. Not dirtiness in sight for me.

Not indie/artisan or North America, but Jovoy Psychedelique is my patchouli standard. You can sample/buy it in the US.

Ha. I could definitely do without the Montale, but I see its place in that list. If nothing else, they are prolific. The 2016 date explains a lot!

Wow. This list is like a time capsule. This smells like the 2010s. I haven’t smelled anything from the Vero line tho.

…Following along. I love osmanthus as a material, but haven’t really liked anything in a finished perfume.

Just tentatively returning from a social media detox. Also, fall teaching, life, house projects, kids, US politics. I dig the community here, but being as active as I’ve been in the past isn’t feasible.

This was my spring jam! Love it.

Thank you! I dug your interview and write up too. A full bottle is on the way. Ha. I couldn’t help myself. It’s going to be my fall jam.

You and I (Will Die) and so will everyone you know, eventually. In 1799 just outside of the city of Newburg, NY up the Hudson River, a farm laborer discovered a thigh bone of a mastodon (Mammut Americanum).

You and I (Will Die), but that won’t stop me from sharing some House of Mammoth Love and a DIY drone and collage based on it. open.substack.com/pub/cuirderu...

Fingers crossed for atomizers. New Bogue is good. It’s an animalic, green, woody number. I like MEM and Maii more tho don’t own em…yet.

The new Bogue came in a sprayer, but others didn’t.

Great description. If you got the newest scent strip, check the missed connections. NdB is answer.

Canoe and Nostalgia We can’t escape nostalgia these days.

Some nostalgic love for Canoe. Also, my feeble attempt to learn how to use Koala sampler. open.substack.com/pub/cuirderu...

Colorado librarians: Have you heard of any programs in Colorado that are available for people who might be losing their access to Medicaid? I’m not entirely sure what keywords to use for a successful search of the topic.

You and I (will die) won the people’s choice at the iao & is so good. Wearing it today. Will be buying. The aldehydes remind me of Mark Buxton’s use for CdG and Le Labo. But better.

It was really fun. It’s also clear that I’m riding on the coattails of her tale talent. I also used ethyl maltol and didn’t hate it.
