I use stencils on the "scanner effect", where interactable objects are not affected, for the selection outline effect, as well as the "observation mode" where you can check out a specific object 😊

Progress on the detective game experiment made with @godotengine.org
Using custom post-process, a secondary camera for the magnifying glass which can reveal hidden clues and to be able to study objects seamlessly... It's been fairly smooth so far, I'm enjoying the Godot experience 😊
#MaterialMaker 1.4 (#GodotEngine based PBR material authoring and 3D model texturing tool) is now available on @itchio .
It is based on Godot 4, had a huge UI redesign and has quite a few new nodes.

I found it a bit harder than I expected to get decent results, but it's starting to look all right I think

Spent a few days on my first @godotengine.org experiment, a Star Wars themed environment, with basic movement and shooting mechanics. Learning a lot 🙂
3/ Visual shaders seem okay, with some limitations (lacks some basic nodes in my opinion, kinda hard to access bread and butter nodes like math operations with the search bar)
4/ Particle systems seem okay, although a bit basic ?

Really nice! A fun addition could be faking the light hitting the geometry using the depth/normal buffers, to optimise having a ton of them (not too close though)

(1/2) C'est assez vrai, mais les "créations" méritent d'être étudiés/critiqués. Au-delà de la laideur subjective, l'enjeu à moyen terme c'est l'uniformisation de la culture visuelle, perte de créativité graphique, stagnation complète de la création...
