I didn't expect to have a happy cry showing my kid the Artemis splashdown but I sure did

I’ll never forget watching the Artemis II launch & splashdown with my one-year-old, even if he was making farting sounds and trying to eat a marker
splashdown, welcome back home to 🌍 👋
This is one of the coolest things I’ve seen in my whole life
It reminds me of the original HomePod, which was rumored to only have a single production run. When inventory ran out, they stopped selling it for almost two years before the next-gen came out!
I don't think they can do the same with the Neo – it's far too popular.
Oof – if this report is true, Apple may run out of leftover A18 Pro chips before they can update the MacBook Neo to A19. Painful.
Kinda wish the NASA broadcast was more of a production.
How was the rocket made? How are the suits tested? How do the astronauts train? What are their backstories? Interview one of the engineers who solved some unique, obscure issue!
Now is the time to educate & inspire!
This looks like an old star wars movie
Guilherme Biro rises up, and the first goal in Nu Stadium history belongs to Austin!
Would’ve been incredible for Apple’s ad campaign!
@mk.gg, @tk.gg I have to know – did you coordinate your domains? I know Cloudflare loves to hire Matts, are you all in cahoots?

Don’t worry, I still (faintly) remember dial-up if that helps 😅
??
Artemis II (hopefully) launches this evening! First manned mission around the moon in a long time. Official broadcast:
Don’t play with me like this 😢
That’s amazing lol
I love reading these personal anecdotes around Apple’s 50th. I’ll never forget when, as a kid, our PC at home died – and I persuaded my parents to get a Mac mini.
At the time, I had no idea that would set the trajectory for my career in software / lifelong interest in the Mac.
✱ Booping…
What point are you trying to make?
The replies to this finally made it clear to me that most people angry about AI don’t have the slightest clue as to what it is.
Ooh I didn’t even see this – perfect for my use case. Thank you!
@simonbs.dev loving brr! My one feature request: reverse webhooks. When I tap a brr notification, a payload is sent to my own webhook that I specified 👀
I dunno, but I'd definitely get fired if I set up this kind of mechanism at work lol
It is definitely not rational
For personal projects, I have dependabot regularly open PRs with dependency updates, which then get auto-merged, then auto-deployed. I’m never involved in the process.
I’ve been told this is unhinged 😂
My library in college had a row of trash can pros that I loved to use for video editing. I was one of the few who’d actually use them. RIP 🪦
Wow, there it goes. Not even a press release to bid it farewell. Goodbye old friend. 👋
