This shit is why people don’t trust the Democratic Party.

These 8 useless Democratic Senators are all wealthy and have feathered themselves a lovely retirement nest.

They don't need to be in these positions anymore.

They can amble away into the privileged nothingness that defines their spinelessness and lack of courage.

Demand more and better, folks.

My family has been without half our income for 40 days. It has been.. very hard.

We are willing to feel that pain so people can have health care next year, or to undo these illegal recissions.

We are not willing to have been put through this for NOTHING.

Walmart, McDonalds and Amazon are the largest employers of people who require SNAP assistance.

The CEOs earned between 18-40 million last year, 1000x their median employee income.

They took billions in profits, while their workers relied on SNAP to survive.

Wanna fix fraud and abuse?

Fix that.

Sen. Schuyler VanValkenburg, possibly the most passionate SUPPORTER of the redistricting amendment among Democrats in the General Assembly, did an excellent job explaining why he's voting for HJ6007 - it's not repealing the redistricting commission, and more to the point, "today we are taking a truly proportional response to an extreme situation - the current outbreak of opportunistic, mid-decade redistricting means that we are in a truly unprecedented, constitutional norm-breaking time...we've never had a president threaten and strong arm state governors and legislators for changes to their states' maps for partisan gains - never, that's a fact, never! Yet that's exactly what we are seeing now - because of Trump's jawboning...the reason is because quote, he's 'entitled' to those seats...But what's really going on here is fear...of facing voters; the president knows that if 2026 is a fair fight, Republicans will lose seats, and he will face a legislative branch willing to stand up to him and check his power. Those are facts. That is why we're here. Because [President Trump] is trying to avoid accountability and avoid the voters. And so Virginia Democrats are responding proportionately. We're not trying to end the practice of fair maps. We are asking the voters if, in this one limited case, they want to assure that a constitutional norm-busting president can't rig the entire national election by twisting the arms of a few state legislatures which haven't reformed their process like we have...I think what my friends on the other side of the aisle are really afraid of is that the voters are going to agree with us.  For all this talk about the will of the voters, I feel pretty confident that if this thing goes to [the voters], they're going to pass it...and Donald Trump WILL have to face the music in 2026....This resolution is a break-glass maneuver for a truly unpredecented moment...[but] we're still circling the drain with Donald Trump and the MAGA movement..."

TACO is NOT building a ballroom.

He is building a bunker.

Booze Allen is not an architecture firm.

It’s a defense contractor.

Amazon just announced 14,000 layoffs. Its CEO made over $40M last year.

UPS announced 48,000 layoffs. Its CEO made over $24M last year.

Intel announced 20,000 layoffs. Its new CEO's pay package is valued at nearly $69M.

This is what I mean when I say the system is rigged.

If you make 130% of the federal poverty level, you qualify for SNAP.

A family of four, making $40,560, qualifies for SNAP benefits meaning thousands of Missouri teachers qualify.

I’m tired of the bullshit. Most of the people who receive snap benefits work.

The Walton family (who own Walmart) are worth over $400 billion, yet many of their employees are on SNAP.

Bezos is worth over $400 billion, many Amazon employees require SNAP.

The people who need help are not the problem.

It’s corporate greed. It’s an unwillingness to pay a living wage.

If I were running the DNC, there would be Democratic Party sponsored food relief banks across the country right now that specifically welcomed anyone regardless of party affiliation.

Along with the food, there could be voter registration and links to runforsomething.net

A free and democratic society cannot silence comedians because the President doesn’t like what they say.

This is an attack on free speech and cannot be allowed to stand.

All elected officials need to speak up and push back on this undemocratic act.

This man will not be fired for calling for the murder of American citizens, yet multiple journalists/reporters/teachers lost their job for accurately reporting things Charlie Kirk actually said and stood for.

But it’s the “violent left” that’s the problem

it really is astonishing how quickly it goes from “civil war” and “blood in the streets” to “wow guys it’s just a sad tragedy” when it becomes inconvenient

Too bad the GOP effectively criminalized studying how information moves online and news orgs laid off and demonized all the reporters who covered the burgeoning online accelerationist performative death cults. All of that work was somehow "censorship" that needed to be stopped. Now we're here.

Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker (D) on the shooting of Charlie Kirk:

"Political violence, unfortunately, has ramped up in this country ... I think there are people who are fomenting it in this country. I think the president's rhetoric often foments it."

“They’re taking our jobs” was always a lie. Alabama proved it.

Alabama tried a “tough” immigration law, and it backfired hard. Immigrants fled, crops rotted, and farms collapsed. Americans tried to step in but couldn’t last a day.

They’re not taking your jobs; they’re doing the jobs you won’t do.

Those who have the power to stop mass shootings can go to hell with their "thoughts and prayers."

Do something about it, you evil bastards.

If someone tells you there's nothing we can do about gun violence beyond thoughts and prayers, remind them:

—Gun laws in other countries have prevented mass shootings
—More guns don't make us safer
—A majority of Americans want gun reform

We don't have to live like this.

New C.D.C. Director Resists Ouster as Other Officials Resign

I had serious doubts about CDC Director Monarez’s willingness to stand up against RFK Jr.’s personal mission to destroy public health in America—I’m glad that I was wrong.

If there are any adults left in the White House: we cannot let RFK Jr. burn what's left of CDC. FIRE HIM.
