Interesting - easy to say this can't be done in education. The same people who tend to say that whinge about recruitment and workload. If education wants to compete for the brightest and best in the modern workplace it's not a question of salary it's fullfillment.
One for international women's day. Great from the New Yorker. Terrible on behalf of men as 100% I have unintentionally done shades of this in the past.
As a fellow job hunter it's an unfathomable moras of opinion piece and dejection. There are some bright sparks but generally somewhat depressing and not suited to those less likely to blow their own trumpets.

Another excellent piece of work worth sharing. I had nothing to do with this FYI just like it.

Properly interesting. Have seen tech in education done ok and done awfully. Emotive and financially motivated discourse abounds.
How very 'American Beauty' of you.
Yes. I think you will see a pull out. It's been the goose that lays golden eggs for so long the relative reduction in profit margin will thin out some. Others will make decisions based on maintaining their margin through other means. Some will have the moral fortitude to continue to do great work.

Obscure banger. #hiddengems
Reading in another place a review of my work by someone. Surreal experience being referred to by the organisation I work for as opposed to as a person equally weird when the interaction is incredibly personalised. Hadn't really clocked that I am seen in the same light as people view the Borg.
From the excellent Art of Statistics by David Spiegelhalter. These feel like some solid ideas for a school's approach to data analysis. See lots of MIS data sheets with no interpretation and plenty of impenetrable excel analysis that masquerades as data work in schools.
Who says high quality journalism is dead.
Arab astronomers in the early Islamic Golden Age were pioneers of science and innovation. They developed technologies for navigation, timekeeping and the study of the cosmos.

Perception or reality Q - it feels like there are less and less jobs in the UK education market based around school improvement and system leadership. Is this a symptom of tightening belts or am I just looking at the wrong websites?!?
