She almost gasped in shock β she thought he was asleep the entire time she'd been working.
"And you're offering to massage me? Golden Goddesses... you need to think of yourself, Zandy."
She leaned up and pressed a soft smooch to his cheek.

He was a real charmer. Of course, a farm girl may be a little easier to impress than others. The kiss he gave made her giggle, free hand brushing some of that long floofy hair from her face.
"Maybe... but only a little-! Mostly in my upper back. Have you been sleeping in today?.. You looked like Β»
"If you had to stay here and fight them off every night, you'd never be able to leave."
Beaming, she placed her hand in his.
"Lots, yes β the cows were full and I emptied them out just about completely. It's a good haul for today!"
She giggled, nodding.
"Don't worry about those β really. I usually just hide inside until they leave..."
Malon sat down the basket of milk jugs she'd been carrying.
"I hope Daddy hasn't been bugging you too much. He always embarasses me when boys are around.-"
What makes him think that's 'bad'? That's actually extremely kind. And, well... he looked lost, so she had to give him a place to stay. And her father β annoyingly desperate for Malon to find a 'husband' β was more than happy to let a handsome young man stay over.
