Work visit to S. Wales. I took opp to visit the Aberfan disaster (1966) site and cemetery. 116 children ages 7-10 and 24 adults killed by negligence. What I found most moving tho was the parents who subsequently died being buried with their children. A lot of pain to comprehend! #Aberfandisaster

It’s odd this 92-year-old talking to an early 20-year-old has no trouble hearing the question! In my experience a normal conversation with a 92-year-old involves asking a question, “pardon? I can’t hear you! I’m deaf in this year!“ And then repeating the question loudly!

There are 3 divisions to the BBC. public service,Studios and StudioWorks. Only BBC public services directly funded by the license fee. The other two are commercial Enterprises. All Radio & television services fall under the public service remit in uk so no model for charging. …….

The biggest problem is the charter doesn’t allow for charging. That needs to be changed. That’s why the license still persists. To make charging work the bbc would have to set up companies in all the relevant countries. It’s works for USA and China etc. but not elsewhere. Too small.
