The new biggest loser doc absolutely sucks. Here are some reasons why.

It offered absolutely no real critique of anti-fatness and bob’s last garbage bit about how “everyone is obsessed with their weight” DEMANDED that critique. By refusing to give it the doc basically signed off bob’s opinion. Awful.

It reminded me of the Way Down doc. Very disappointing.

Successfully defended my dissertation, “The Fault of Our Forms: Fatness and Race in 20th and 21st-Century American Literature and Culture” yesterday! It’s surreal to be finished with this chapter of my life, especially because it was a very joyous chapter. Feeling grateful and ready for what’s next!

Half a decade and there’s still no definitive test, treatment or cure for Long Covid. There’s still a significant stigma attached to it that leads many patients to suffer in silence. There’s still nothing being done to stop the spread of Covid, thus creating more Long Covid patients.
