34mil (80%) are unable to handle a major life event like widowhood, serious illness or need for long-term care.

FL4 CONGRESSIONAL CANDIDATE BRIT ROBINSON STATEMENT REGARDING US VETERANS "To the about 80,000 military veterans who reside in Florida's 4th Congressional District, I thank you deeply for your service and dedication to the United States. I am an active-duty military spouse, but I also come from a family of servicemembers in the Navy, Marines & Coast Guard so service to our country has been ingrained into me from the day I was born. All those who sign up to defend us from all enemies foreign and domestic put their lives on the line and our government has the duty to honor their end of the agreement to take care of our veterans when their time in service concludes. No veteran should ever go hungry, be homeless, or struggle to find a job and it is a shame that we as a nation have abandoned our veterans when they most need our support. We can and should be holding up our end of the agreement to care for the nearly 16 million U.S. veterans to the extent they were promised and deserve. This administration has not just failed to provide the assistance that veterans rely on, but has specifically negatively impacted and eliminated such core assistance programs such as: limiting mental healthcare appointments; fast-tracking the disability ratings process so that veterans do not receive an accurate rating thus limiting benefits; and firing VA staff & freezing hiring for necessary positions. From attempting to cut 80,000 jobs across the Department of Veterans Affairs (including the one I was meant to start in April 2025 as an interior designer for VA clinics) to budget cuts to medical research programs to eliminating DEI programs, this administration has painting a bright red target on the backs of our veterans from Day 1.
