Just played a match where the esper pixie player sided in Temp Lockdown against me (valid). I had a Cult Conscript and two active Soulstone Sanctuaries... The operative word here was "nonland". My pixie matchup is actually pretty good! #mtgstandard #mtg

I tend to brew first, ask bracket/strength questions later. My numbers of removal/recursion/pro are trends rather than goals I shoot for. I also don't tend to run many if any gamechangers even in B4. My personal brewing philosophy rejects that staples must be in all decks of a certain color id.

My floor is 5 pieces of removal in my B3 Prismatic Bridge "Howdy Partner" deck (all the "Partner with" commanders except for Will/Rowan). My ceiling is 13 in a B4 Hashaton + Gyruda companion list. Typically, I run 6–9 pieces in B3 and 10–13 pieces in B4. I also run more recursion+protection in B4.

I tend to agree with your takes on these! I think the indefinite mulligans can sometimes be taken advantage of by bad actors (similar to how people who misrepresent their deck/bracket can be bad actors) so I tend to only offer "keep a keepable 7" to people I've played with before.

I had to make a couple of decks to fit him in personally, since if I didn't stop myself I'd have approximately 13 Golgari decks...! Decided on multicolor dragons under Ramos (got the deck last week but the boy has not come out yet) and a Glarb but actually Jarad list I hope to build soon™️
