I should add my family member had already been assessed through Eastern Health & approved for home care support. Having that done already was a big help for the agency knowing the level of support required.

I called several & they weren't the right fit as they couldn't provide a consistent carer. I had a recommendation for TLC Nursing & Care. I called TLC, had a Nurse come visit to determine the home care needs & in a few days she found someone who seems to be a great fit. Very pleased so far.

I'm not even American and my bottle has been chilling for months.

That's absolutely awful. If our federal workers go on strike, a certain % have to continue working as essential staff, those who are essential continue to be paid.

Canadian here - I don't understand why all of the federal workers who are not being paid are still working? Why haven't they downed tools and started to either protest or strike? Is there a law that essential workers have to carry on unpaid? I don't understand it?

It's been hard to find, I did manage to get a list of Govt approved agencies but I'd really like personal recommendations.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a Home Care Agency in St John's that is able to provide companionship and light care support for seniors?
